It's a new day. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. Yesterday I was pretty bummed when I was thinking about not being able to be in San Diego with all of my friends this week at Social Media Marketing Week 19. But I was talking with a friend and kind of hashed it out and I realized, you know, I can't be there physically this year like I wanted to, but because of social media and because of digital tools and because of the way that my friends engage and share what they're doing, I can almost feel like I'm there. I looked at the Social Media Marketing Week hashtag, which is SMW MW19 this year. And I looked at that this morning on Twitter and there are 240 new tweets. I definitely need to spend some time today going through some of those because a lot of those are my friends. And what's really cool is I— it brings a smile to my face when I see them out there having a good time, even though I'm not there and I have a little bit of FOMO going on. It's encouraging to me to know that they are out there meeting up with new people, hooking up with their mentors and getting some information to propel their business forward and just having fun. And because they use that hashtag and everybody is pushing that hashtag and they're sharing what they're doing and documenting their day and sharing out tidbits of information and, and the speakers and what they're— the value that they're giving. It helps people that can't attend feel like they're part of it, even though we're not there. So that's what I'm going to be doing this week. I'm going to be checking out that hashtag and watching what my friends are doing and engaging with them as if I was there. And I know they'll do the same with me. And if you have FOMO, or you have something you feel like you're missing out on and you can't attend, or you want to be a part of and you're not physically or geographically there, have people use a hashtag. Have them post all of their tweets and their Instagram stories under one hashtag. That way it's consistent, and when people want to find out what's going on with that event, they can go check out that hashtag and get a summary and a synopsis of what's going on. And they can engage with people that were there and ask questions and find out information. So I encourage you to do that today. That's what I'm gonna do this week. And I also encourage you to join me every day here on the Daily Spark. And if you like it, go leave me a review on Amazon. And you can find me everywhere in the socials at E-C-O-T-E-K. That's Ecotec Everywhere. Catch you again tomorrow for another Daily Spark.
