Kim Gaskill argues you should stop complaining about updates, whether software or life changes, and instead explore what's on the other side. She encourages embracing change rather than resisting it.

It's a new day. I'm Kim Gaskill and this is the Daily Spark. Do you like updates on your phone, on your computer? I don't think anyone I know likes to have the updates. Now, they like to have the updated things, but almost everyone that I talk to complains about the updates. If we never updated anything, we would just stay at one level. We would never know what we're missing out on. We get used to, get comfortable to the way things look and the way things work and where our little icons are, where the dropdown menus are. And then as soon as an update happens, oh, everything's changed and everybody's complaining and All the settings go back to default and I have to change everything again. Complain, complain, complain. But if you look at it a little differently, yes, it's a momentary inconvenience, but what is the benefit that you're gonna get out of that update once you set everything back to the way you like it? And sometimes we don't know that we like something until we change and be in it for a while to understand, wow, I don't know what I was complaining about. I like this much better. But change is always scary. So every time there's an update, every time something changes, every time our little menus move around and we're used to them being somewhere else, we complain. So I challenge you today, don't complain. Move through that change, move through that update, whatever it is, whether it's technology or updating things in your personal life. We always have to update and modify and change, or we will just stay still, never moving forward. So I say embrace those updates and be excited for the new things you're going to explore on the other side. You can find me everywhere on the internet, in the socials, at E-C-O-T-E-K. That's Ecotec Everywhere. And you can find me again tomorrow here for another Daily Spark.
