It's a new day. I'm Kim Gaskill, and this is the Daily Spark. Dogs or cats? What do you prefer, dogs or cats? I've had both. I love both, but they definitely are different. Dogs, they just want to show you how much they care. They just want to play or eat or just be there, and then they're off to the next thing. Cats, on the other hand, they are pretty aloof, a little bit devious, and they like to keep to themselves for the most part. They come when they need something, not when you need. The dogs, every morning they'll come down here and They'll show me how much they missed me overnight, like I've been gone forever. It's like the first time they see me. Oh my gosh, there she is! They run up and they lick and jump up and down, and they're just excited to see me. They show me unconditionally how much they love me every day, and then after a few minutes, they're off to the next thing and they're fine. Cats, on the other hand, can stay hidden in their spot for days and not come out. Now, I would love to have a dog again when I travel around. I've thought about it several times because I do like that companionship. I do like that other affectionate, caring soul that just sits next to you and they're just there. They don't have to do anything. They're just there. And you get that sense of you matter. You belong. You are connected to something. But it wouldn't be fair to them or to me because of the schedule that I have. So for several years now, I have not had any animal companions. But I'll have them again. Right now I'm at my brother's, so I get to enjoy having the 3 dogs around. He got a cat yesterday that he's watching for this week, and, uh, of course they had to put that downstairs because of the 3 dogs. They would just go nuts if there was a cat up here. But the cat's okay with that. He's found his spot down there, and they go down a couple times a day and interact with it, and cats are okay like that. Dogs, on the other hand, the minute you walk in the door, if you don't pay attention to them, they will not stop. They just are beside themselves sometimes. It's like you've been gone forever. Every time. But I do love them. And I will miss them when I leave. And if you don't have a companion like that, if you don't have a dog or a cat or something that, that gives you that smile on your face every day, Go check out a shelter. There are so many animals that need love. If you have that to give and you have that place for them, that would be awesome. But make sure you're ready, make sure you're prepared, and that you do have the right timing and the right setup, because it really isn't fair to either one of you if you do that. When you're not ready. I hope you have a great week. This is my One Thing Monday. Don't forget, what is that one thing that you need to be doing every day for yourself to move yourself forward in your both personal growth and your business? Let me know and join me again here tomorrow for another daily sparkle.
