Kim Zoller says quiet quitting signals disconnection and lost purpose. Managers should ask employees about their well-being, whether they understand the company mission, and if they feel it matters. Curiosity and real conversation restore engagement.

So I've been reading this week about management being so surprised about this quiet quitting. Let's continue on this theme that we started last week about quiet quitting. I don't really understand why people are so surprised, because ultimately, it means that people are feeling a lack of purpose. They're not feeling connected to their organization, and they're not feeling connected to their managers. So instead of being surprised, surprised rather, today, do ask your Ask your people three questions. How are you? What's going on in your life? Do you feel purposeful in your work? How can I help you have more purpose? And do you know what our mission and vision and values are, and how can we learn to live them more? What can I do for you? Be curious. Instead of being surprised about quiet quitting, let's all take action and get reconnected.
