Build & Sell Digital Products In 2024 (Step by Step)

In this 2024 YouTube presentation, Kyri Nahlis walks viewers through a complete, actionable framework for creating, launching, and monetizing a digital (information) product. He begins by stressing the life‑changing leverage a single product can provide and introduces his core belief that “Product is King,” arguing that a superior product drives exponential growth more than marketing or sales alone. Nahlis then outlines two ideation pathways—one for creators with no audience or money, and another for those who already have an audience—emphasizing the need to align product ideas with personal expertise, passion, and audience pain points. He details the essential components of a digital product: a clear transformation promise (A→B), video lessons, supporting resources, actionable steps, hosting platform, and underlying principles or beliefs that ensure customer success. The talk proceeds to distribution tactics, urging immediate creation of social channels and an email list, and then describes three primary monetization models: leveraging a personal brand, high‑ticket direct‑message sales, and email‑list campaigns. Throughout, Nahlis shares client testimonials, revenue figures, and a candid, motivational tone, warning viewers that success requires hard work, persistence, and a focus on building a high‑quality product before scaling marketing efforts.

So in today's video, I'm going to show you the framework that I have used to get more than 2 clients in the last 6 months, over $100,000 in revenue, just by building a zero— they had zero product beforehand, and we take them to a product they can sell with using this framework. I'm sharing with you completely for free, and I'll share with you some of my clients so you know I'm not lying. So let's start. So if you don't have time to watch this, I'm going to say this: you probably aren't too serious about business, so So really, really take the time to watch this video because it's not going to be quick. You think you're going to make a lot of money really quick, you're not going to. You have to actually understand and learn some skills. So let's start. So what is this video going to do? It's going to help you understand the purpose of a digital product, understand how to create— so ideate, create, and build a digital product. And then we're going to show you— I'm going to, in a very brief way, I'm going to show you how to actually start selling your product. And look, if you don't have time to watch this video let's be honest, you're already going to fail. Like, this is one of the most useful videos you'll probably ever watch. And there's a lot of YouTube videos like this, how to build digital products on the internet, but most of them are filmed in like 2020 and they've just, they've just changed the title, you know, again and again to like 2021, 2022. It's like they're out of date. This is an in-date video with up-to-date philosophies on how to build a product, up-to-date, um, techniques. Like, this is what you should be watching to build your first digital product. And if this isn't, isn't your first digital product, how to build your flagship digital product. So let's begin. So your first product, it genuinely has the power to absolutely change your life. And you need to understand that you are only one product away from a changed situation. Like, guys, you could have like fucked up your entire life, but you're literally one product away from changing your entire situ— your entire circumstance to whatever hole you've dug yourself into. You're one product away from fixing that. So you really have to remember that at all moments. So a digital product doing $250 a month in revenue, which is 3K, has the same as a $100,000 investment in a government bond, which for— we're usually with a 3% return. So like you can create a product that makes just $250 a month, which is nothing. I'm promising you that is so little money. And that is the same as having $100K invested. Like this is the leverage you're building here. And a digital product provides you infinite leverage. You build it once and then you can sell it forever. You know, leverage. You should know what leverage is if you want to own a business. No matter where you find yourself in life, you're one product away from altering the conditions of your current situation. One good offer, one good product, and one leverageable asset. And this might be your first product. I know people whose first product changed their lives, like zero to— I just completely got them out of debt. You know, they could like finally pay their mortgage. Just absolutely amazing things. And in the last year, I've worked with over a dozen separate clients to help them build their first products. So some, some of my clients have paid me as little as $3,000— little— and some have paid me over $16,000 for essentially this information I'm going to give to you. They pay me more to implement it for them, but the knowledge I give completely for free. So there are a lot of charlatans on YouTube who tell you how to do this stuff, but they've never actually been paid to do it. So I'm going to give you— show you guys some testimonials. I'm not going to actually record, like, film, you know, like play them. But one guy called George Tang, you can Google him on Twitter, massive client of mine, growth partners. These guys are absolutely killers in the info space, and they paid me to actually, um, and I worked with them for 2 to 3 months with their team. They've got like 30 people in their team to build a product for them that is absolutely crushing it right now. And if you're a LinkedIn person, Laura Costa, um, she is a massive LinkedIn influencer. I She's one of my clients. These are 3 big people, like, they all trust me, so you should trust me too. So, stage 0: the purpose of a digital product. Before you build something, you have to have— you have to understand deeply why you're building something. So since before 2020, I always used to watch, like, make money online girls talk about digital products and communities. And now I own, like, multiple communities, and I, I I manage multiple communities rather. Like, this makes me want to take a step backwards because like, guys, look, there's a crucial element to something you guys should understand that I'm probably the only person on the internet talks about. Product is king, and this is why you need to have the best product in your niche. I'm going to come back to that, but let's quickly— I just want to mention that to you. So whenever you're trying to create something, you need to understand the basic principle of the thing you are trying to create. By digital product, we are talking about info product or information product. They're same thing, essentially. These are the same things. These are how you package information and how you sell that information. In— that's the basics. So these are usually sold digitally via website, social media, or an email list. And for example, these could be ebooks, membership sites like Skool, webinars, cheat sheets, online courses, templates and teardowns, live events, and even recordings of live events. These are all digital products. Anything where you've packaged information and then you've taken that packaging and you're selling it to someone, that is a digital product. So there's a few ways to make money online, high profit and low cost: coaching and online courses and digital products, right? That's what we're talking about here, this segment right there. The most very high leverage— not that it's obviously— you can make loads of money with software, but for a beginner you need to do this. So, but what exactly is the purpose of a digital product? Like, why am I getting you to talk? Why, why are you watching this video? Like, aside from making money, like, what are you actually putting in that information? That then someone pays you their hard-earned money for, right? That is what we call the transformation, A to B. So this is it, A to B. That is what digital product does, stopping somebody from being like this. So you're selling them a straight line, you're selling them access to whatever goal they want and stopping them behaving like this. Most people have no idea how to achieve what they want to achieve. You're shortcutting what they want, essentially. Like, creating any course, community, or coaching program comes down to one idea. So one idea You take someone from A, where they are, to B, where they want to be. And if I wanted to put that in a diff two different ways, your course needs to offer a transformation, or your digital product should successfully and completely solve a specific problem for the customer. That is what your digital product needs to do. Say it again. Your digital product should successfully and completely solve a specific problem for a customer. I built one product for a client of mine. I'm not going to say the name, we made over $100,000. And literally the course just taught them how to achieve one goal, just one goal. Like, it wasn't— they didn't learn everything in business. It was a specific small problem, and it made my client over $100,000. Just people pay for results and specific knowledge, not for absolutely everything. So why is it important? What— but why is it important to understand that you have to solve something entirely and completely. And that's because of my brand. And my, my brand is called Product Is King because I believe a good product is the ultimate leverage. And I'm not the only one who believes that. I think I'm just the only one talking about it on the internet all day. It's all I talk about. My entire brand is literally this. So unless you're like, you're through— unless you're a scammer, let's play like— unless you're a scammer or you have like a very small brain, you're going to want to sell something that is good and doesn't fail. A great product is the most important component of a successful business. And look, by misunderstanding the importance of product, you're missing out on exponential growth and you're losing so much revenue. Marketing is great, I fucking love marketing. Sales is beautiful, I love sales. But a great product is the only driver of exponential growth. A great product, like, look, if you don't believe me, let's look at Alec Ramsey. The most valuable skill you have to grow a successful business, ranked in order of importance: product, marketing, sales. If you know how to sell, it's because you don't— if you don't— so if you know how to sell, it's because you don't know how to market, or you don't know how to build a product. If you know how to market, you can sell a lot, but you're only going to sell because the product is not good. If you have an exceptional product, you will get more promotions from your customers than anything else, and that is what ultimately scales the enterprise. And Hormozi, I think, referred to in a vow, is learn to build, learn to sell. If you can do both, you will be unstoppable. Everybody talks about selling. Nobody talks about learn to build. It's because learning to build a great product is the only thing that should matter to you in every step of your journey in business. So I want to keep in mind that throughout this presentation, you will want to eventually build a product so good one person tells their friend, and this friend tells their friend, and that friend tells that friend, and you are detached from the marketing and sales. Like, the product is the fucking marketing. And you get exponential growth. So like, what is the point of building digital leverage if you aren't actually building leverage? You know, like, you want to build something once and then your customers sell that for you forever. That is the aim here, guys. That is the entire point of my brand, and the entire point of my channel is to make sure that the people who watch my content, they want to do right by their customers. Okay, so let's get into the nitty-gritty. Ideation: the formation of ideas or concepts. When I was a 21-year-old, I wanted to start a business badly. It's the only thing I dreamed about, I dreamt about, but I had no idea what to do. I had nothing. And I just spent literally years, probably 2 straight years, watching information, trying to understand how to start business. I just didn't get it. Like, I was watching Alex Becker, Sam Ovens, Tai Lopez, all of those big, like, you know, marketing gurus and shit. And even though with all that information, I never understood how do I actually— how do I— what do I do? And I now, I know what the answer is. The answer is this: ideation. What you need to do is ideate your first product. And the first product won't be the last product you ever make, but it'll be the, the first step you take to truly, um, help you grow in business. And if you aren't new, that's okay, you still get a lot of value from this video. So you're going to fall into two buckets. You have— I have no audience nor any money. What are your passions and expertise? Do you have a job? Do people ask you for help? What do you know about X, Y, and Z that, you know, what do you know more than other people? Simple as that. Second of all, if you have an audience or money— now let's just get rid of the money. If you have audience, what do you make content on? What are your audience's needs? Look at your existing audience. What problems and struggles do they have? Your course should aim to solve these. I have friends with over 100,000 followers on Twitter. They are broke. Like, they don't know how to build digital products. So If you're one of those guys watching, watch this entire thing. Just because you have an audience doesn't mean someone knows how to make money, right? So look, you're one of these two. You have no audience and no money. And I had money because of ads, but forget that for now. You have no audience. Two, you have an audience. So if you have no audience, you look inwards. If you have an audience, you look outwards, okay? Because usually you've built an audience because, you know, you've actually, um, you know, spoken about a specific thing and people have come towards you. That's the two things, okay? That's how you start the ideation process. If you have no audience or any money, you should first focus on distribution. Because look, doesn't matter how good the product is— now I'm gonna contradict myself— if you don't have a way to distribute it, you're probably not gonna be able to sell it. So you need to start a YouTube channel ASAP, a Twitter account, a LinkedIn account, Instagram account. You need to start this shit ASAP, guys. Um, so once you get subs, followers, likes, whatever, direct them to an email list, and that's how you start selling. I'm gonna talk about that more later on. And you engage with people who comment on your posts, DM them and start selling. I'll talk about this deeply in another video, but for now, let's continue about product, okay? Ideating your product. To build your first product, we intend to do two objectives. Having a problem that your niche needs and wants to solve. Generating yourself money, cash flow to put back into the business so you can actually, you know, grow as a business owner. How does one do this ideate thing? Spoiler alert, it all comes from you, or at least product number 1 comes from you. We're going to assume you don't have a business right now and you don't really have an audience or anything, right? And because of that, we need to understand your expertise and potentially your passion. Why passion? Passion is a dirty word for some entrepreneurs, and I just think they're stupid. Literally, just because like some people think, no, you shouldn't care about your passion. Like a lot of entrepreneurs, even in the 1 to like under $1 million range, they will say passion is not important. But then you hear billionaires and really rich people who are like, yeah, passion's everything in business. This is my takeaway: passion is so important for your first product because in the first year of business, 99% entrepreneurs fail because it's very fucking hard. Now, if you're actually passionate about what you're doing, at least you enjoy what you're building and you enjoy what you're talking about. So there's a high chance you're going to get through year 1 just because you haven't given up. You understand? Your first product was a colossal failure. It could be, but it paved— so my first product was a colossal failure, but it paid for me the way for me to go forward in my business. And it didn't really matter. It was just, it was just a way for me to start business, right? And this is the way for you to start business. Not saying it has to be a failure. I know people have made $100K straight away, the first product. Don't think you're going to do that. You might make $2K, $3K, $4K, $5K, but you just need to choose something that you enjoy enough that is going to make you not quit in the first year. Because business is so hard, guys. Like, you're going to quit in the first year if you choose something you hate. I absolutely promise you that, okay? Like, business is so fucking hard. So look, action task: detail what you're an expert in or what people come to you for, and then what you actually enjoy. That's, that's all you have to do at this stage, okay? Just what do you enjoy or what do people come to you for? So let's go a bit grander now. So What makes you valuable to other people? Business is problem solving, providing value. So your first product needs to provide value in some capacity. What are you— what value are you already providing people? Ask people you already have in your audience. You might not, like, you might not need to be completely new. You might have a Twitter account or a YouTube account. Just ask people who have already given you permission to contact them, hey, what are you struggling with? Gather data. And then steal ideas or get inspired. Sounds weird, but you can check with other people. What are some— what is someone I aspire to be offering? Can I do it better? You know, differentiate it. You might, um, you might even be able to see what niche they're doing. You know, aim to do something someone else is doing better. Don't just outright copy it. But yeah, pause the video, make note of those three. Creating your first product. So central elements: what is a digital product and what goes into a digital product? So These are what I believe a good digital product actually has. So number 1 is the promise, which is the A to B transformation. This is the thing you are intending to solve for someone completely. B, this is the components, the mechanism of the transformation. Now, 2 is actually all the ones on the bottom, but, um, so the components of these, okay, so the components of these— trying to hide this thing on the side. The components of these. So one, the promise. Two, the components are usually it's going to be videos that you're going to— like the one communicates to you, videos, resources that support the videos, and action lists that people have to do after they watch your videos. There's no point me telling you— imagine I paid— you paid for a course from me, right? And then it was like, um, Kyri, how to build my first product, and I give you no actions. Like, I just say, this, this is what a product is, this is how to do X and Y. But then I don't direct you intentionally to go and do something, it'll be useless. So actions are things people do to actually succeed. You have to tell them what to do, okay? When you're doing a digital product, software, where are you hosting a product, school, Kajabi, wherever. Principles, the top 3 things they have to, um, believe to succeed. Like what— not just believe, like I put this on the bottom because not everyone understands it, but principles are like what are the overarching things your audience or your customer has to understand for them to succeed with the A to B transformation. Say someone wanted to make $10,000 a month, right? And you had a product that allowed them to make $10,000 a month. If they didn't believe that they could— like a principle, make it $10,000 a month isn't a lot of money. If they didn't intrinsically believe that that was possible, they would never achieve it. So what, like, you could say this could be principles or it could be beliefs. Like, what are the, what are the top 3 things they need for success? And I would deeply talk about that. Building a digital product. So let's go through step-by-step list so you can start working on this now. And there are only a few elements to digital products. These are the elements, and let's go through in detail, and I'll contextualize everything for you. And I might contradict myself a little bit on the number 7 because that's kind of made up, and I love that one, but I always go back and forth between principles and beliefs. So number A, Transformation. Let me just zoom in a bit here. So the transformation— transformation. So, um, transform a complete beginner to a proficient digital photographer capable of capturing— so transform from a complete beginner to a proficient digital photographer capable of capturing stunning images. I'm assuming now, like, when I wrote this, this was like for a photography course. The mechanism of that is the course includes detailed modules covering camera settings, composition, lighting, and post-processing. That's the mechanism. The videos, instructional videos demonstrating photography, step-by-step processing guides, how to select your gear and how to edit your videos. Okay, I mean, edit your photos. See what I'm saying? Transformation, then what are the components to achieve the transformation, and how do we deliver the promise that in the— how do we use the videos to deliver the components? Okay, resources, PDF guides on camera settings for different lighting conditions, cheat sheets for composition rules, and recommended software and hardware. So these are resources that support the promise. Action steps: weekly assignments for specific tasks and specific skills. For example, um, so, so I want you in week 3 to edit an image in Adobe Lightroom. That could be an action task, and then post it on the forum if it was a community, right? Software: where you can host it. This is hosting on Skool, Kajabi, Podia. Where are you hosting your product? Um, consistency. So consistency principles. What are the top 3 things you need to be a successful photographer? Consistency, feedback, and curiosity. These are the top 3 beliefs or principles. Um, so yeah, let me go for it over again very quickly. So the promise, components, videos, resources, actions, software, principles. That's the basics to build a product. Like, if you don't get these right, you won't really build something good. You have to be very intentional about what you're building. Now I'm gonna— now this video is about product. I'm gonna quickly go over the main 3 ways you guys can use to monetize and make money right now. So if you're reading this, uh, well, you know what, you're watching this. But if you are reading this, some— I've actually given this as a document too. Go watch the YouTube video because this makes more sense. But if you're consuming this and as you're a beginner, this will be very valuable to you. If you're consuming this and you're a bit more advanced, this should refresh your brain. Um, so there's a few main ways to like sell your shit online. Personal brand is number one, and this is what you should do regardless of where you are, in my opinion. Build a personal brand. Two, DMs online, high ticket, and email list, any ticket size. Personal brand. So who are you? Like, step one, personal brand is foundation. Who are you making the content for? You need an avatar, an ideal customer persona. Then you create content online, produce that content that resonates with your audience. Then you engage that audience, you know, like interact with the followers or sponsor their comments, build a relationship with them. And then you leverage that audience, use the credibility to promote the product. Okay, don't be scared to sell in public. You're not Alex Moseley right now. You're not building a following of millions and millions. You're just trying to make your first $10,000 and then convert the followers into people who will buy from you. So, so personal brand basics: who are you making content for? You have to create content, engage with the audience, leverage that audience, and then convert the followers to customers. Okay, that is the screenshot that if you want, just screenshot that. That is the most basic, like the most basic way to use a personal brand. Then once you have these people, how do you actually monetize them? Gain followers, you craft a message for them. So you gain followers, someone follows me, people follow me, I then message them something personal, they reply back and we have a nice conversation, I maintain contact with them and then I persuade them to take an action. Hey, the action is, hey, come book a— come up on a call with me. I can help this specific problem you're having. And what do you know, they become a client of mine because I've— they've become a follower. I've crafted them a message. I've engaged with them. I've followed up with them, and then I converted them as a client. That is the most basic way to get high-ticket clients. It really works. It's crazy how easy it is. Email lists, a bit more complex but beautiful. Any ticket size, you collect emails through your personal brand um, you send emails to that list and you just give them help. You have a welcome sequence. I'll have a video on that. So collect emails, send emails to the list, and then you make direct offers. There is no reason for a list to exist unless you sell to it. People will unsubscribe from your list. They will unsubscribe to your list, but this is fine. There's no reason to have like an email list unless you're going to make money. So make direct offers. Well, look guys, That's about it for this video. I really hope I managed to help you. If you want any specific advice, please send me a message on X or post on the comment below. So on the video below, I respond to every single comment. But yeah, look, this is what you have to do. Watch this video, understand where you are right now in the business, what kind of product and what kind of thing you can offer someone, what transformation can you offer someone, and just start taking relentless action. I promise it will help you. And watch this video 2 or 3 times and deeply understand all of the components. And please build a fucking amazing product, because if you don't build a good product, you're just going to burn your reputation. But look guys, subscribe to this channel. I'm going to start doing loads more content like this. I really, really, really hope you got some value. Thank you so much for
