A short YouTube monologue by Larry Weidel recounting anecdotes from Aspen Mountain — notably run-ins with celebrities (Jerry Jones and his wife) and the skier Michaela Shefford — and drawing a motivational lesson: surrounding yourself with the right people and places matters for success. The speaker references his own book (serial winner) and urges listeners to get out into the world where "magic can happen."

Here I am at the top of the gondola at Aspen Mountain, and I can't tell you how many celebrities, how many stars I've run into here. You know, big shots, because this is where they circulate, you know, like, you see these stairs over there? Right up there. I saw Jerry Jones and his wife walk up. He had a big fur coat on. This is right before he built the big stadium there in Dallas. You know, just a normal guy. You just walk it around and taking some time out. I've seen. I ran up right over here. On the other side, behind me, I saw. Ran into the greatest skier of all time, Michaela Shefford. It has turned out, I think I referred to her in my book serial winner. But I said, michaela, I've been following you since you were 14 years old. And it was incredible. You know, she was so happy being bubbly because, you know, she had a day off and they were filming a shoot, a shoot with sunglasses, you know, and so, you know, she had a day off and she get paid a fortune for modeling some nice clothes and sunglasses and, you know, but she worked like a dog all of her life, very programmed and achieved incredible. Great. She's still skiing, she's still winning World Cups as we talk. The greatest of all time. And so you run if you want to. A lot of your life has to do with who you run into, who you rub shoulders with. You know, where you're. It rubs off on you. But it's not going to rub off on you if, you know, you're in the middle of the country and you live next to a fruit stand and a litter barrel and you never get out and see the world. You know, if you want great things to happen, get out there in the world where magic can happen.
