Be Aggressive in Your Pursuit of Greatness with Brand Designer Adam Weidel

A short podcast-style YouTube conversation between host Larry Weidell and guest Adam Weidel about staying on track while pursuing greatness. They emphasize maintaining momentum, mental toughness, decisiveness, and an unapologetically aggressive mindset; warn against doubt and excuses; and use sports/racing analogies (Kobe Bryant, Stirling Moss) to illustrate pushing through change and turns as opportunities.
Welcome to this episode of the Million Dollar Mastermind. I'm Larry Weidell, and let's get started. All right. I'm here with Adam Wydell. We're talking about things you can do to stay on track when pursuing greatness. And you get interruptions along the way to make sure that you maintain your momentum. You can't. Main momentum is a precious thing. You got to work like a dog to get it going. Mental toughness is a tough, is a precious thing. Once you get all those things going, you get in your zone, you get productive. You got your pattern down. You got to stay on track. And it helps to have some of these techniques in your mind unapologetically. Be aggressive in your pursuit of greatness and, you know, success, big discoveries, big breakthroughs are elusive. They're hard to get. If they were easy to get, everybody be doing it and everybody be Steve Jobs or Michael Jordan or Albert Einstein. And so you got to be excited to put in the work to do things that other people haven't done because that's going to make you elite. But other people are not paying that price. Other people don't think it's going to happen to you. Other people are trying to get you to calm down. You're working too hard. What are you selling your soul for? Success? You're, you know, this is not going to happen to people like you. They can't see it like, you can see it. So you got to kind of protect yourself. And you got. So anyway, Adam, you got a comment on that?
There's, there's no room for any kind of thought other than winning every single day and making leaps forward every single day. There's no room for doubt. There's no room for hesitation, and there's no room for any kind of negative thoughts that are going to get you.
Off track or excuses, you know, because when you, when you do that, then excuses come in and then it becomes reasonable for you to fail because you've got this excuse that you, you made up. But when you're, you know, know, winners win anyway. And you said the magic word, doubt, you got to make. You gotta decide. You gotta make a decision. It can't be. You don't have accidental greatness. You decide to be great. You commit to this thing. And one of the decisions that you're never, you decide is you're never going. It's not that I, I'm never going to quit. But you got to decide. You're never going to let go beyond that. Never let doubt shut you down or Slow you down because that's the first step to you losing your grip on this project, this chase that you're on. And when you stay moving, that is really hard for doubts to hit a moving target. Any last comment on staying aggressive? You know, the thing is keep, if you're driving a car, keep your foot on the accelerator. You, you're never going to win a race. Constantly tapping the brakes, you know, break, you know, you go into, you know. They asked Sterling Moss, Adam, one time famous racer, what separated him from all the other racers. And he said, when I go into a curve, most of them are easing off on the accelerator or tapping that brake just a little to be safe. Make sure. He said, I'm looking for the spot to accelerate. He said, I'm just looking for, because I know that it's in the curves that, that I'll get them and the turns that I'll get them. And that's true in life. It's in times of change where people are panicking, they're what are we going to do? You know, the economy changed or my industry changed, somebody invented a new product and we're out of business. It's in those turnover times that people make the huge breakthrough. So that's why if you're going to pursue greatness in your life, you got to be aggressive as your main method, your main mindset that you're going to come up with your reaction. It's not what happens to you, it's how you respond to what happens to you. And you got to decide. Doubt's not going to slow me down. I'm always going to stay aggressive. They asked Kobe Bryant, you know, compared himself to another phenomenal athlete. He said, yeah, he's fantastic. He said, just, he said, I'm just a little more aggressive. He said, I just push a little bit harder. And so anyway, you got a comment before we wrap that one up?
Well, just what you said earlier. You know, the most important thing is excuses. And when you're going for something wide open, as hard as you can go obsessed with doesn't even enter your mind to use an excuse, anything that's not even an option. So that's definitely an important part, without a doubt.
