A short motivational talk (YouTube) encouraging viewers to add purpose to their media scrolling by actively hunting for inspiration — people, places, ideas — that spark excitement and positive change. The speaker urges paying attention to internal responses, adopting clear intent while scrolling, and notes practical benefits: increased energy, likability, self-satisfaction, and more fun/adventure in life.
Why not add a little more purpose to your scrolling this year? We all know you're going to be scrolling around on social media, TVs, streaming networks, the TV you're going to be scrolling. Why not have a purpose for your scrolling? And that is, why not look for inspiration? Look for people, places, things, ideas that you respond to, that you like. They create. I mean, pay attention to what's happening inside here and up here. Pay attention to yourself. Like, what do you respond to? What can you get excited about? What ideas can you see and use and hear that you could add into your life that would add a little buzz? Look for inspiration. Look for things that put a little spring in your step, that make you push a little harder, put a bigger smile on your face. You know, ideas are a dime a dozen. They don't care who use them. Why not be out there and not just kind of mindlessly flipping and scrolling? Why not have an intent, a clear intent that you're looking for things that you can bring in your life that would make things better, more exciting, more fun and more adventure. Because when you're more turned on, you're more fun to be with. And everybody who knows you, I promise you, likes you better when you're laughing, you have a smile on your face, you're energized, you're fired up about something. Rather when you're dead, dull, discouraged, you know, looking for another donut to eat or something just to pass the time. Everybody likes you when you're more fired up. You like yourself when you're more fired up. So have an intent behind your scrolling, make the time count.
