Catching Slumps Before They Happen

Growth is cyclical: markets and businesses trend upward long-term but hit sharp downturns. Learn to spot the first cracks in the veneer so you can act before a slump takes hold and costs you a painful recovery.
Foreign. Today on White L Academy, let's talk about catching slumps before they happen. And this is something every person, every company deals with, because no one has a straight line grow to the top. Everybody's got ups and downs. And if you would look at the stock market, See the stock market, the life of a stock, let's just say the dana de poor 500 or any other stock from the 1920s on. Whenever they started keeping up with these things, they chart it. And as we know, they've. They trend up. But do they go this way? No. Here's what they do. They go up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down, up. And then they go down here, and then they go down here, and then they go right in here. Up and down, never level. You know, you have a November of 81 where you had Black Friday. It went down. And in 1928, that went down. People are jumping out of buildings, but inevitably the foundation is there and it comes up. It went down in the 90, early 90s, went down in, what was it, 2008, the tech boom went down, but now, you know, it's soaring higher and higher, but it's up and down, up and down. This is the picture of the stock market. It's also the picture of companies. And if you look at all the different lines, they'll have every stock every day charted. But what it is, you'll notice things don't go up forever, but usually once they start going down, they can go down fast and usually go down a long way. And it takes a while to kind of turn it around and get it going back up again. Slumps are the things that destroy your potential because you got to recover from them. And slumps have a different dynamic. They come fast, like a roller coaster going down. Growth is like a roller coaster going up. So the idea of what we're going to talk about on this video is how to look at this point right here, how to see it coming, how to catch it before it takes off and gets away from you. How do you know when you're at a point like this as opposed to a point like that? It could be 98, 99% of the things look the same. But if you are educated, mature experience, and you know how to spot the first cracks in the veneer, the first signs of things falling apart, that's when you can jump in and cause it to keep on going. Because wouldn't it be nice to avoid this, to avoid that, to avoid that? You've had these times in your lives, right? Wouldn't it be nice to avoid that and be able to harness this thing, jump in with some energy and keep your momentum going? That's we're going to talk about on the video.
