Dr. Chad Deal went into cosmetic surgery to escape childhood poverty and build wealth. He's performed 18,000 procedures and runs his own medical spas rather than working within traditional healthcare systems.
My main goal was to be financially successful. It was not to help people. Now, many doctors are that way, but they feel ashamed to say that. Now, if you help someone along the way, that's a blessing, and that's wonderful. But most of them don't want to admit they wanted to be financially successful. You almost feel this burden in the healthcare system that you should be ashamed of yourself if you're doing this to be successful. So. But I did. I grew up so poor, there was probably maybe only two times. I remember as a kid actually being. Going to bed hungry. It wasn't like every night, maybe just a couple of times. But because I grew up poor, I didn't have this guilt feeling about wanting to be successful. So I knew that's what I wanted. I knew if I was a surgeon, I could do it, but I knew I wanted to do it without the normal healthcare system. I wanted to run my own business. And I kept thinking about what fields could I do this in and what would I enjoy? And ultimately I landed on, okay, if I go specifically into aesthetics, ultimately build a business, even hire other doctors, and then start making these medical spas, et cetera.
