Episode #810 - Fast-Track Your American Dream with Ranjeet Mudholkar

Podcast interview (Episode #810) in which host Larry Weidel interviews Ranjeet Mudholkar about his EB1A/ISAN ("genius visa") transformational coaching program. Mudholkar describes his personal move to the U.S. (family relocated 2018; he moved 2020), his shift from institutional roles to full-time coaching, and his approach to preparing candidates for EB1A via a four-step DONE process (Define, Organize, Nurture, Execute) plus a broader “Mudholkar Matrix” for institutionalizing contribution. He discusses delivering ~100 events (mostly online) to educate and recruit candidates, shares client success stories (a 50‑year‑old PR business owner and a 28‑year‑old AI expert), and claims that roughly 1.5 million people are waiting in line for U.S. green cards with long backlogs for Indians (he estimates ~40 years), while EB1A can shorten that timeline to months or a couple of years. Contact channels mentioned: LinkedIn (Ranjeet Mudholkar) and nextleapprogram.com (the Next Leap program / EB1A transformational coaching).

Welcome to this edition of the Million Dollar Mastermind podcast. This is where we pick the brains of high achievers from all walks of life and get their hard earned real world insights on winning. I'm your host, Larry Wydell.
Now let's shift gears and talk about you personally. Did you bring a family with you when you came to the United States? Did you have family in Phoenix or friends or network? What kind of a network of friends and family have you established here?
Absolutely. When I came here initially, my wife and with our two daughters, my family shifted here and I followed actually because we wanted to give them the best education here in the US so they moved here and they came here in 2018 and I moved here in 2020 and that's how it was. Yes, we have, we have some folks here, I think. Larry, another interesting thing, I must tell you whether you are aware that every middle class or and above in India would have somebody the other relation in the United States? Yeah, we all have. If you pick up any random guy from the street in the US In India, they would have some relative or some folk who are cousin or second cousin or best friends, cousin known for them in India. So we have, I think India's India is I think one of the largest communities of immigrants and beneficiaries for the green cards also here actually.
Well, and the thing is that the people from India have pretty much penetrated every state, every town. They're everywhere. You know, there's like, you know, people listening to this. You might not be aware of the opportunity that exists your business in India, but you might not be aware of how many Indians are already here.
Absolutely. And it's a wonderful thing. Chinese are another, I think the major immigrants actually here and second would be Indians. Yeah.
Now have your daughters responded? Are they Americans now?
Absolutely, they're now, I mean both we all hold US Passports now. So they're all Americans in that sense.
Yeah. How did they respond to the change and how excited are they about being here and living here and you know, you brought them here so they could have a great education. Is that working out the way you wanted?
Absolutely. I have One daughter, she's 20, 22 doing biomedical engineering and the younger one is in high school. So I think they are getting the best of the worlds. We are Indian so we have a strong resonance to our culture. So getting the best of both the worlds is something and ideal for every parent actually.
Yeah. Now are you excited, do you have right now just excited about getting your business going and doing things in the United States or do you have in the back of your mind some places in the world that you would love to go back and do some things or maybe expand your business or get involved in business opportunities in different countries around the world? Because it's exciting to be in these emerging nations and emerging economies. And growth is intoxicating wherever it comes from. And if you've got ties and opportunities in other countries, sometimes they can pull your attention in time over there. Do you find any of that happening right now to where you're trying to pick and choose? Where am I going to put my time?
Let me tell you about myself. In my entire professional career, I have had only three jobs over the past 20, 22 years. The first was when I was the director of Symbiosis Institute which was a business school, one of the best business school in the world. I would say that. The second was Financial Planning Standards Board where I spent two decades and last two years I've been trying to do this coaching. Every time I did any job I felt and I believe that that job was specifically made for me and my life. I made that as my life's mission at that particular moment of time. Unless and until I outgrow that.
Yeah.
When I feel that that particular profile or the job cannot give me anything more than what I am doing, I will move to the next level. At this moment I think there is a lot of work for me to do. I'm extremely happy. I've committed myself to help my students on a full time basis. Helping people to become the best version of themselves. And if many people are able to get green card, EB1A green card ISAN visa, genius visa as it is called. Because of my support and service. I love and I wish to continue this whole my life.
Now what was it? The events, the you know, supposedly 100 events in the last year. Were those financial planning events?
No, they were all kind of events related to EB1A green card and helping people or motivating them to become the best version of themselves actually in whatever way endeavor they can and use that version to apply or position yourself as a potential EB1 a green card candidate.
Now how do you spearhead a hundred events like that? Where were they? Where were these events in the last year?
Okay. I mean mostly they would be online. Also you can do at various schools and colleges and just there are 365 days in a year. You just have to do one every day, every alternate day. You can do 52 and you can do 100. The world is a large OSS, Larry. I mean, you have to start somewhere. If you do things, I think the path will follow actually. So it's not that you target 100 events or 500 events or 50 events. So you just have to do things, start doing things and start doing things each day better each day and more each day.
Now, how big do you think this business can get and how long will it take you? There's not an unlimited number of these green cards that can come into the United States or is there?
Well, there are 1.5 million people who are wanting to come to the United States and EB1. A green card does not require a sponsor, a lottery or any investment of 1 million or something which many other green cards may prescribe you to do that. Right. So the first thing is that my coaching is not only about or business is not while it is focusing towards a green card. It's. It is a. It is a milestone in your journey if the idea is to put you on a success path where EB1A is a milestone in your entire journey. Now, the whole process of coaching which I'm teaching can be manifested into multiple other purposes, like for example, getting a better job, better career options or growing your businesses. This would be for anything and for which there is a unlimited growth potential that exists.
Yeah. Well, this has got to be quite a change for you because having been in big foundations, big companies, you know, and with a lot of people around, probably a pretty big staff, a lot of credibility, a lot of, you know. But now you're by yourself.
I know what you're trying to say, but frankly speaking, let's understand that large companies are not Okay. I think that's a very important aspect I would like to share with you, Larry. Large buildings or large companies do, are not necessarily institutions. We have seen large and especially I do come from a financial world. So I can tell you this for certainty. There are large banks and large financial establishments which have failed in United States and rest of the part of the world. It has. They have demonstrated that how greed and misconduct can be abused and have been, has been badly abused. Where institutions, so called institutions have failed, where the governments have had to come to fail. Now every establishment of its work, if, if it has succeeded it is because of. Number one, there is a difference between being a large company and being an institutions. Let's understand, institutions are not big or small. They are institutions. And I have always kind of trying to institutionalize the systems and the processes of what I do. I have, I have helped, you know, kind of small companies, if you may call them small, becoming large institutions. Because institutions is the fundamental difference between a company or any company or institution is that the DNA is very strong. The institutions operate at a core values while companies need not.
And so how do you help that process occur?
Oh, the first thing is that you know, in whatever work that you do is that, I mean from a, from a business standpoint I would say that it's one needs to institutionalize the processes. What you are doing can. Okay there, there is a. You know if you Google today there is something called as I have created I. That article got published in Forbes also I call that, they call it something called as Mudholkar Matrix. Actually what is that? It is called Mudholkar Matrix.
That's your last name, Madhulkar Matrix.
There's an article in Forbes on that actually. It basically talks about how you call something as a contribution, as an original contribution. And there are five models for that actually here I'm not going to go into specific of that. But the whole idea is that those five processes, if you follow it helps you to institutionalize the systems what you do. And that can be applied to multiple array of things in whatever endeavor you are doing. It could be business, it could be patent, it could be a process that you're following. It could be used for immigration, it could be used for multiple other aspects that you are doing. And it is just that how you kind of manifest that into your. An individual can adopt it or an institution for a company for whatever activity it is doing, it can adopt it. So if you follow that, I think it's a very systematic way of doing things. I would say that.
For those of you who are sick and tired of fooling around and are dead serious about wanting to move up fast, I've got something especially for you. I've combined the best insights from over 40 years in business and making $70 million in income and compressed them into a free webinar. That's right. It's a free resource. If you want to find out exactly what the concepts are that I use in coaching million dollar earners, register now@wearlyllonwinning.com you'll discover the five part framework used by so many to reach their financial, personal and professional goals. You can find that link in this episode's show Notes.
Yeah, and the advantage of that is it allows you to get bigger. It allows you you to standardize, allows you to have quality control, allows you to keep up with all the moving parts as things get bigger. And the. That's an Interesting article. I'm going to go look for the metric.
Metrics. Yeah, yeah, metrics.
And hopefully my staff is listening. They're going to go find that for me. But with your successes, you know, just in the. The program on the EB1A tell us, you know, we talked about success stories. Let me hear some of the success stories you've had recently with that and how, you know, how gratifying it's been for you because like you said, you're out. That's your main aim is to help other people be their best version of theirselves. I'm sure you've seen some great transformations. Tell us one or two of those.
Wonderful. Now we had one lady actually from India, she's not in United States currently and wanted to move here. She's a business owner, a small business owner and into a business of public relations actually here. And practically from starting from a very simple background, a middle class background as you we defined earlier. Not too much of money but a very high grit and determination to make a kind of difference to the world. I mean that was one of the key motivations. You know, I think there is a four step process that we follow actually we call this as done process D O N E. So first is that one. One of the key aspect is in that if you have to succeed, I mean whether it is for green card or for anything else, you have to define your expertise in a very, very calibrated way for the purpose for which you are doing. So it took couple of time for us to kind of. She said, I'm a pr. So we said okay, no, you have to be PR public relations for a particular segment of companies that you are doing. So a niche market or a niche expertise had to be crafted. So that was like a first step that we did. The second we call it as organize. So you have to organize a very focused and specific action plan. What you intend to do. You are at point X and you want to move to point Y. So you have your initial locus very clear and your destination very clear. So there were certain to become EB1 achiever, you need to fulfill certain metrics. So we go towards that now between X to Y. The step that follows is the third step which is called nurture.
Nurture.
Nurture. So organize nurture. Yeah, in nurture you have to be available and visible to the world. It could be you have to have some kind of a website, you could do a podcast, you could kind of make some app. You have to learn new skills, advance new skills. So there Are multiple array of things that you should do. And during this stage, what we have seen is people, once they start doing things genuinely, I think everything starts falling into place. People get invited for award ceremony, People get into various global memberships organizations, Some people even got honorary doctorates, that is PhDs. So the world starts noticing your existence and presence at this particular stage.
Why did you call that nurturing? That stage? Because that's really where you define you. Get organized now, let's get going. And why did you call that nurturing?
Because you have to nurture your expertise for the betterment of the world. Okay, and the last is execute. Now your. Your goal purpose has. Is arriving. You need to. So if you are, let's say, you know, if you're applying, then you need to kind of start working with an attorney or kind of understanding the jurisprudence of EB1A. What is U. S. Constitution looking forward to. What is the IMA which is the immigration and marginalization act, which speaks about the EB1A is trying to do. So you understand the complexities of that actually and obviously the execute. So we call it as a done process. So this particular lady at the age of, if I may just, you know, kind of indicate to you, at the age of 50, decided to move to United States and very determined. So this is a very kind of inspiring story for me also to help this particular lady and to coach the person. We have had another person who is just if I may say, 28 year old, recently married, in fact lost a job also actually and had only two months to remain in the USA but had lot of, you know, passion in the eyes and the actions. An artificial intelligence expert. The person did a lot of efforts during the four month journey with us. Actually one of my favorite students, I would say that because the HUD was putting in almost 15 hours on a daily basis, was putting in lot of efforts in terms of learning new things about artificial intelligence and how that can be presented to the world. Got some awards, got some prestigious membership, the whole process of done was followed. And Nadi, I must tell you one more thing. At this stage, you know, in every job, in every activity, while I did get an opportunity to meet and interact with the best people in the world, celebrities as we call them, in this particular job of coaching which I'm seeing, I'm interacting with people who are at the pinnacle of their careers, who want to make the difference in the world and you know, kind of impact the world by virtue of their commitment and fulfill their American dream. And I see myself as Really a very. At a very fortunate level to be able to help them out for this position, what they're doing. And there are several other stories like this. I can keep on talking about them. But yes, since you gave me a chance to speak about two of them, I think I would say that these are the best stories I have at the moment.
Well, you know what we've done, Ranjit, we have figured out what are your next projects going to be.
Okay.
You're going to be writing a book on the Mud Holkar metrics.
Wonderful.
And inside that book, we've already started things that are going to be in there. You're going to have the done step four step thing. That's going to be part of it. You've already had the five models. That's part of the metrics. The book is taking shape, just forward talking.
Wonderful.
This is part of you nurturing, you know, getting out there where you could help the world, you know, and it's. I. I could see it happening now. I can't wait to get my copy.
No, the. I mean, I. I desist. You know, writing is something. I always encourage people to do it in their own way with modern AI tools being available. Don't try shortcuts. I would always say that, actually.
Yeah. Well, thanks so much. This has been a lot of fun talking and sharing with you. I always like to give my guests a chance to say the last final word. As you know, for the people who stayed with us and listened to the whole episode, maybe there's one more thing that you could come up with as a parting comment that you'd like to leave in their mind.
I would just like to say that, you know, many people don't want to consider this extraordinary. They call it EB1, a green card as extraordinary ability. Green card, I think it's not about you being extraordinary. It's about you doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Actually.
Okay.
I would just say that, you know, become the best version of yourself because the world is waiting for you. And at least, you know, there are one. As I said, there are 1.5 million people waiting in the queue where the green cards for especially for Indians, the wait period would be at least if I do a back of the back of the envelope calculation, it would be roughly around 40 years, if not more green card. And this can manifest this. EB1A can help you to manifest the green card in as quickly as if not few months, at least very one or two years, possibly. So definitely do give it a try.
And people can find you through your website or through LinkedIn and things like that.
We have my LinkedIn profile available here, Ransheet Padulkar. And also we have a website, nextleapprogram.com fantastic.
