How to Build Unstoppable Success Without Becoming Your Own Worst Enemy

Adam and an older speaker argue that lasting success requires alignment with God and personal values. They warn that dishonest shortcuts produce temporary gains and long-term emptiness, using examples like Epstein and Madoff to show what happens when integrity fails.

If you're doing the things you're supposed to do and you're on the right path, God will bless you with great success and give you a peace and a joy and an overwhelming sense of well being.
Hello, everybody. I'm back with my son Adam, and we're talking about doing it big. We're talking about fundamentals of winning. And today we're going to talk about the question, do you have to compromise your beliefs to be successful? And I think if you're going to be in business with someone and you're going to make a maximum effort, it is important to find people who are headed in the same direction with their belief system and their values and their purpose and focus what they really stand for in the big. Other words, you need to get alignment in the big picture. I'm a big believer that for you to be successful in your life, your first step is you got. You need to do whatever it takes to get yourself in alignment with what you think your creator, God put you here for. You know, like, what is it inside your heartbeat, you know, what motivates you? You know, you go to your core, what is in there? You don't want to be 30 years down the road saying, who am I? You want to. Is it like, who am I now before I put all this energy out there, what do I believe in? What am I supposed to be doing? What do I like to do? What am I curious about? Well, if I'm curious about it, I like to do things. I'm good at it, probably, that's probably what I'm supposed to be doing. I don't need to be any more complicated in figuring that out than myself. And if I'm maybe, maybe that's just what I'm supposed to do to get started and then I'll pivot into something else. But for right now, these are the things that are on the table and I should. You know the guide, you know, the guide the Bible gives you is whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your heart. And the other thing is, fear not. You know, you don't worry about. Is this right? Is that you know, you're not going to tippy toe through the tulips. Whatever your hand finds you do, do it with all your heart, give all your energy behind it. You can't do that if you don't feel like you're on the path. I don't think you can. That God sets you out to go on. You know, you want to be in the middle of the road and you Want, you want to find. I've never thought of it this way, but Adam is kind of like you want to find God's highway for your life. You know, it's like he has an invisible highway already created for you, and you want to find that thing or go build it, you know, where do you want me, this highway to go? What's the road for me? And so the, you know, so I know what I believe in. And it's only fair to tell you I'm a conservative. I believe in God, country. I believe in earning what you get. I believe in taking responsibility for your actions. And you know, I'm not going to. If that offends you, you know what to do, go somewhere else. You know, you know, nothing I do is going to be good for you. It's going to create friction. You're going to, you're going to be suspicious of what I'm saying, You know, like, you're not going to trust it. You're not going to relax. But when you're around people who believe basically the same way you believe, but not that we don't have all have things, different opinions, but basically believe the same way, then you can kind of relax, you can kind of enjoy each other, can have a good humor. And, you know, you got to build, get in a position where you can build success unapologetically. And so those, that's, you know, that's what we stand for. And then you create the potential where you can build massive success without compromising your faith and compromising your values. And that's what people wonder about. Can I be successful without selling out? Do I have to lie, cheat and steal somewhere, you know, shade the truth, do a little lie, do a little cutting corners to get ahead. Because that's what people, that's what many people, shall we call them losers in the world, think people are successful, only got that way because they were willing to. They had low morals. Winners have low morals and they'll lie, cheat and steal because anything to be successful, and that's absolutely not the case. You can be successful for a short period of time like that, but eventually the truth will win out. And so, Adam, I think people need to go on the record and understand that they can expect great, unlimited success without having to compromise their values along the way. And if a company, they're in a company that forces, forces them to do that, they need to get out and find another company. So what's your, what's your say on that?
Yeah, I think you have to have a strong belief System. I think you have to have a strong belief system in God and you can build these great things, you can build these great accomplishments, you can have this great life. It looks like a great life from the outside, but at some point if it's not what the Lord has you to do is not what God's will is for your life to be doing. No matter how big and how massive it gets, there's going to be an emptiness in there where you have people like, I've talked about it before, you have like some of these actors or musicians have got everything you could think they want, but they're just miserable, they end up killing themselves or depressed. Or you have people like Britney Spears that is just a total psychotic mess.
Apparently from the outside appears to be an inconsistent approach to life.
Apparently an inconsistent approach to life. But I've talked about this before because if you're doing the things you're supposed to do and you're on the right path, God will bless you with great success and give you a peace and a joy and an overwhelming sense of well being. However, I think what a lot of people don't realize, and I see that outside looking in is the devil will also bless you. And you could do all the wrong things and you can have a great life. You can have what looks like a great earthly life and you can have massive success. However you have, you're still going to have that overwhelming sense of emptiness inside, hollowness inside chasing things to try to fill that. That will never ever get you to the place you want to be mentally where you feel stable and you feel good and you feel accomplished on things. And anytime you're going down the wrong path, it doesn't even have to be a disastrous path. But as long as it's not the right path that you're supposed to be on, the devil will leave you alone because he knows you're going down the wrong path. If you are on the right path, you're probably going to have a lot of obstacles and misery and this, that and the other because that's him trying to get you off track. But if you are doing the things you're supposed, you know you're supposed to be doing, eventually you are going to have the success. Success. And not only will you have the success that you think you will, but you will be feel stable internally and spiritually and not have it be chasing that emptiness that a lot of people are chasing, that empty void in them, trying to fill it with material things or relationships and things of that nature.
Well, the thing Is also, you need to realize, folks, life is going to test you. You're going to be tested. There was no great leader, you know, inside the Bible, outside the Bible, who did not get incredible testing. You know, Job went through incredible testing. You know, Jesus went through incredible testing and trials. And the thing is like, where you say, can I, you know, do I have to lie, cheat and steal to be successful? No. Because if you lie, cheat and steal at a tough moment in your life to get ahead, you're failing the test a lot. A lot of times these tests come to see if you are really willing, you know, you're really committed, you really have the faith where you won't break down and cut a corner, lie, cheat, steal, just to get ahead, you know, is your, you know, are your values and your faith stronger or your desire to just get my hands on a car or get my hands on a promotion or get my, you know, and so the thing is, if you fall prey to that, you fail the test. But life is good. But if you want long term success, you know, you can have temporary success by lie, cheating and stealing, but you can't have it. Can't. Sooner or later, you know, Jeffrey Epstein hung himself in his cell. And so, you know, sooner or later, you know, what goes around comes around, folks. And it get. Bernie Madoff spent his last years in a little concrete cubicle alone. Yeah, he got away with it. He got away with it. His two sons, one died of cancer, one hung himself, his wife died. You know, some kind of thing, you know, it's just spread throughout his family. You know, the whole thing. Yeah, you get away with it four seasons. And so if you want long term success, let me just warn you, there is a God and he does control how things turn out. And if you. It's like the Bible said, Adam, you know, this is why get your darn kids, read them the Bible. Read them the Bible stories. You know, pay attention to the Bible. You know, there's a parable about building your house upon the rock and then building your house on the sand. Because what happens is people who lie, cheat and steal and cut corners are the people that are building on sand. And it can be like they really have something great. But it may be harder to build on a rock, maybe you know, tougher to get the rock. The foundation's on the rock and everything. But when the storms come and the trials come, you got the foundation underneath you to survive that stuff. But if you cut corners, you don't have any foundation. And you. Here's the Other thing, you know what's funny is people think that they're with, when they're screwing around and they're playing all this monkey business and they're sneaking around with the, the, the alcohol or the drugs or, you know, other men and women in their life. And this they think, like if they have kids, like the kids don't know. Like they think they're fooling their, their kids or they're fooling, you're never fooling anybody. They all know, you know what I'm saying? Like, if you got a company and you think you're getting away with this, that and the other, they all know you don't get away with it. So never think you're getting away with it. And so there's no reason you can have it 10, 100 times better if you do it the right way, folks. And so not only can you build massive success, it's really the only way to build lasting, you know, big success. Lasting success. If you don't compromise your values and your faith. And not only can you win without selling up, that's how you win without selling out.
Like you said, if you lie, cheat and steal, eventually, no matter how much success you have, once you get there, even if nobody else knows, you're going to know and you're always going to feel like a fake. You know, you have these guys that, these big guy guys run big businesses, this, that and the other, and they get making all the money or whatever, and you see a lot of them want to give back or don't. Not, not that's the wrong thing to do. But they're give back and do this and donate to this and do that, trying to pay for their sins, you know, that nobody knows about. But you can never get that back. Once you built that, once you built that business on lies and deceit and everything else, there's no way to go back and tear it all apart and redo it. And you just have to live with the fact that you got there the wrong way from this, from the beginning, even if nobody else knows, you have.
To live with yourself. But I mean, it even happens in, it's not just business. I mean, it happens in ministry. I mean, you got ministers right now that have got hell to pay. And literally, well, that'd be business too, for the way they're going about their life, you know, and so everybody's accountable, everybody's going to face the judge down to the end of the road. And so all you can do is, as for me in my house, as for Me and my business, we're going to be faithful. We're going to go follow the principles we know to be right. And you don't want to be your own worst enemy, folks. Life, it's tough enough to build it yourself. And you don't want to be your own worst enemy. And you work so hard, and then you shoot yourself in the foot by cutting corners and doing stupid things, that undermines the whole deal. You want to live a life where people, your employees and people around you can be proud to be with you. That's how you get good people. But if you're lying, cheating, stealing, and you think you're doing it, your people are going to be doing that behind your back, too. And so anyway, not only can you build massive success that way, that's the way it. It is the way you don't compromise and you don't sell out. And you, you. You take all the right steps, and as a result, you build something solid. You're building on a solid rock. So thank you, Adam. And any last word before we go on this one?
That's it for me. I just think, you know, be true to yourself.
Be true to yourself, folks. Hey, this has been fun. If you like this talk, you, you know, if you. You want to hook up with people, have these kind of values, you'll get to find them atbig hitter community.com. so see.
