A short YouTube presentation (series overview) by Larry Weidel introducing a multi-part series on producing "independent superstar leaders." The speaker outlines five main parts: (1–2) five core areas rookies must master to become professionals; (3) preparing rookies for smooth, timely promotions; (4) teaching competitive drive and scaling performance; and (5) a month-by-month training/tracking process to turn recruits into independent, producing leaders. The presenter emphasizes avoiding passive "daycare" training, creating competition and tracking, and requests viewer feedback to refine the series.
Let's talk about producing independent superstar leaders. That's when you really have yourself a business, when you got people you've trained in position that they can lead, solve problems, keep moving forward without you involved. So in this series, part one, we get you introduced to some of the five areas. We finish those up. In part two, the five areas for rookies to master to become professionals. In part one and two we cover those things. In part three we talk about preparing for smooth promotions. A lot of times what goes up must come down. You want promotion as an uptick. What you want to do is to have them get promoted and explode for another surge of growth, not go into a nosedive of, you know, the teenage years where now they've got a promotion and they can rebel against you. And there's a tug of war between let me go, I'm ready and no, you're not quite ready yet. And how do you get that timing when they're ready to go, but they're ready to go and they're basically programmed pre programmed like a spring to explode successfully at the new level. Part four, we talk about teaching rookies how to go beyond just doing it to doing it big. You're going to have to teach them to compete just like a lioness teaches her cubs how to hunt. You can't just assume they're going to have that competitive instinct, that hungry type thing for growth. You're going to need to teach that to them and let them build their confidence to see how much fun it is. Let's just say writing. We all know how to write, but not everybody who knows how to write doesn't write a novel. Everybody who knows how to do your business is not necessarily going to do it. So if you don't create a competitive environment, your training center will pretty much turn into a highly trained adult daycare center who never do anything. You want to avoid that. Here are the ideas on keeping that from happening to you because then you just grind to a. Your growth grinds to stop. The next thing is how to produce independent superstar leaders. You've got to have a tracking system, you got to have competition, things like that. But the secret to turning raw recruits into seasoned, hardened, veteran professional leaders is a month by month process. So how do you set them up for success? How do you train them to take the guessing and hoping out of their business and turn it into production? How do you get rid of the guesswork and you turn that into activity? This is a key and that's why I did part five. And so let me know what you think of these. Let me know what you've learned. Pass it on to the rookies that are coming up behind you. We need to help each other learn this thing. Tell me what I've missed. Tell me what I need to add and pass on with the next time I add to this series and let's do something big together, folks. Give me your comments in the comment section. Appreciate it.
