Larry Weidel delivers a short monologue arguing that modern technology—especially the Internet and content like podcasts—lets people "travel with their mind," accessing ideas and inspiration remotely so they can grow businesses and accomplish more without physical travel. He contrasts this with the past norm of needing to travel in person and encourages listeners to take advantage of these tools to save time and increase productivity.
I think the great thing about the technology today, the Internet, all the tools we have, is you can travel places with your mind. You can move your body. You know, in the past, you had to move your body. You know, if you want to move your business, you got to move your body and go places. You know, the foot pit, you know, the footsteps of management are the greatest fertilizer is what you know, a lot of the. The old great giants used to say, Sam Walton, etc. But the deal is now you can move your mind around through the Internet. You know, podcasts, things like, you'll be constantly exposed to things that will inspire you, trigger you to think of things, ideas that otherwise would have never, never crossed your mind. So you can move your mind around the world. You don't have to move your body around the world, you know, go to conventions and, you know, all of these different things, and you can do it with your mind. And that's one of the keys why you can accomplish so much in so, you know, so much less time today. Take advantage of it. I think that's the greatest thing about technology today.
