Anytime you're going down the wrong path, it doesn't even have to be a disastrous path. But as long as it's not the right path that you're supposed to be on, the devil will leave you alone, because he knows you're going down the wrong path. If you are on the right path, you're probably going to have a lot of obstacles and measure, and this, that, and the other, because that's him trying to get you off track. But if you are doing the things you're supposed, you know you're supposed to be doing, eventually you are going to have the success. And. And not only will you have the success that you think you will, but you will feel stable internally and spiritually and not have it be chasing that emptiness that a lot of people are chasing, that empty void in them, trying to fill it with material things or relationships and things of that nature.
