A short monologue (YouTube video) offering career advice about gaining sales experience and financial stability by working at companies with strong sales programs before launching an independent business. The speaker emphasizes learning sales over a multi-year period to build income, savings, and confidence.
The thing is, you're dealing with employees who've never made a sale. And so, you know, you're different fish. You know, it's different. Different thought processes, different ways of looking at everything. And so one thing we should take a time out now and say to people on the way up who are considering getting. It's not a bad thing to go to work with a company and look for stability for a while in your life and get, you know, get your income ratcheted up and, and get some savings, you know, go through a, you know, 1, 2, 3, 4 year period of time to where especially you get a chance to learn sales. If you've never had a chance to learn sales. And there are companies out there that, unlike the one sounds like, unlike the one you were at, have extensive, really good sales programs and you can go in, subject yourself to that for a while, learn, get to where you make some substantial money, prove to yourself you can do this thing and then you can launch your own thing down the road.
