Larry Weidel argues that success spreads like a virus. When the Knicks win, the whole city feels better and performs better. Success is contagious in a way that negativity, which dominates New York politics, simply isn't.

People love winners. The world needs more winners. There's just so many good things happen to ripple effect, and it's really dramatically obvious in that negative cesspool of political things that are happening in New York with all kind of negativity coming out of there. But then all of a sudden the Knicks get on a run like this and everybody's happy. Everybody's infected with a positive vibe. When you're feeling better, you do better.
