A short monologue by Larry Weidel (YouTube) about denial and delusional thinking. The speaker warns that living in denial dooms a person because denial prevents reasoning and acceptance of reality; reality is asserted as the only tool to confront delusion. The tone is admonitory and didactic, urging facing truth rather than explaining things away.

If you're living in denial, you're doomed. Man, I didn't realize there's so many good words that start with D. But you can't be helped if you're living in den. You let yourself deny the truth, deny what's happening. The trouble with it when you're delusional is that you can't be reasoned with. There's no way of reaching you because you just explain everything away. And if you're suffering from or you've given yourself over to delusional thinking, you can't be held because you're denying reality, and reality is the only tool.
