What's up there, Business freedom Podcast listeners, I want to dig into the reasons why all of us need a coach and I want to relate it specifically to a business coach. When it comes to someone that's looking to scale in real estate beyond themselves, you know, traditional successor industries like super challenging last statistic I saw, only 2% of real estate agents sold more than two homes per month, which probably leaves less than 1% are selling three to four plus homes per month. And so the conversations we have on this podcast in our marketing, collateral and within our community, you know, those that are, you know, active members in real Estate B school, the conversations are high level. They're business owner conversations. So I want to unpack the five reasons why. And if real Estate B school isn't the option, it's totally cool. I do hope our paths cross one day and you become part of our community and you seek out our training, our tool system strategies, our coaching, all the great stuff that we do. And that's not the point of this conversation, it's really just to convince you. If you want to get to point B and you're at point A and it comes to, you know, someone that's done it ahead of you, that's why you would seek out a coach. I don't believe in our industry you should be coaching with somebody that hasn't done the thing that you want to do. I think I would guard against that. I want to start out with a question. And so, you know, when I think about what we do at real estate B school and what you should. The question you should be asking yourself if you're looking to grow beyond yourself in your real estate practice, or maybe you started a small team already, it's just not working out. Or you could be running a medium or large sized team and it's just not the thing that you thought it was going to be. The question is, do I have a clear roadmap in place to build a profitable systems driven business so that I can achieve true time and money freedom. And like I said, there are five reasons why someone generally comes into our world. So I will speak through these five reasons as I know they relate to our members and folks that are successful in our community. And hopefully this is helpful for you because I really am passionate about, you know, seeking out training and coaching and support. And I have spent nearly $1 million on business coaching, real estate coaching, all the different, just wealth, personal finance, wealth building, tax, like high performance, like I've just done all of it. So I am, I really understand the value of coaching, number one reason that someone reaches out to to a coach is that you've hit a point. It's a need for a change. And you need the change because you've hit a point in your journey where you're at an impasse. It could be something really bad like your business has crept into areas of your life and your physical body is messed up, your relationships are messed up, you've fallen away from your faith, your emotional well being is completely jacked up. There's just something that that's happened that something has to give. So that's number one is need for a change. Number two is just being a business owner is really hard. So number two, we call against all odds. Fighting the good fight of being a business owner is really hard. And if you don't align yourself with other like minded business builders that are fighting the good fight, it is going to be really, really lonely and super tough. And there's just things that we expect to have happen when you're on this journey of building a business, especially as it relates obviously to the real estate team building journey which we specialize in. So that's number two. Number three is to fill the gaps. So there may be things that you just don't know in terms of your skills and your knowledge when it comes to going from where you are now. Maybe you're a top producing agent with an administrator and you want to go from 50, 75, 100 deals to 150, 200, 300 deals and you just don't know how to do it. And you're not great at systems, you're not great at tracking and you haven't figured out a way to extract yourself from different parts of the business. There's just a knowledge base that you need to make that shift from more of a technician or a producer mindset to a manager leader, owner mindset. There's just this natural sort of growth path that you'll have to experience and it's the skills and knowledge that you just don't have. If nobody taught you how to ride a bike, you don't know how to ride a bike. It's not your fault. The industry really does set us up for not training us properly as it relates to many of these things that we teach in terms of the business coaching that we provide at real estate b school number four is is work on your business. So e myth Michael Gerber e myth revisited the first business book I read in 2007 when I got into real estate. The book basically tells you that you need to make time to be the entrepreneur and the manager in your business and get away from the technical work. And you do that by working on, quote unquote, your business. What does it even mean? When I read that book, it was profoundly impactful. Most people read that book and they're like, okay, what does it mean to work on the business? Everything we do at real estate B school is framed around building a tool, installing a tool or system, or implementing a strategy into your business that makes the business less reliant on you. So working on your business is working on any system, tool, strategy that just makes the business run more smoothly without you. So instead of being the main cog, if you picture an assembly of gears and there's a big gear in the middle, we don't. That's not a business. If you're the big gear in the middle and you turning turns every other gear in the assembly, that is not sustainable. We want you to be a very small gear of small cog on the outside of this assembly of gears where they all run and you're just running along with them. Where if you take yourself out of it, nothing gets messed up, the thing continues to run. So that's work on your business. You need to block out time to do the activities that will help have you build systems that move the business forward. Number four is probably the most common reasons why people seek out a coach is to go further, faster. And so, you know, oftentimes we align ourselves with somebody that's already know they're going to be successful. You know, great example of this is we helped Dave Friedman in Charleston, South Carolina. When I met the dude he was, had just gone from his first year was like 30 sales. His second year was 60 sales. That's the year we started working with Dave. He went from 60 sales to 350 sale sales closings in a single year, in like four years. And we've been working with him for that whole journey. I know he was going to figure it out anyway. We just made the journey easier. We helped him go further, faster where he didn't have to recreate a system. We had the system. He didn't have to struggle through a challenge he was having in his business. Because I've been through the challenge, our coaches have been through the challenge. We can get you there further, faster. And I say get you there. That sounds like a commercial for real estate. B school. This is with any coach, any area of your life where you want to do something that you haven't figured out yet. You Want to align yourself with someone that can get you there, go further, faster. And here is the one thing I will say about be careful who you align yourself with and what I mean by that. Make sure that they've achieved the thing you want to achieve and they've actually built a system to help others achieve that same thing. There is no shortage of coaching options in our industry. I mean that a little bit tongue in cheek and with a lot of respect to all the guys and girls in our industry that are looking to help others do a certain thing, the word of caution is that really make sure they built out the tool systems and strategies so that they're as close to, to swipeable and deployable and installable into your business as possible. Right. So we are like four iterations into our, what we call the real estate B school toolbox. We're almost seven years into this journey in terms of doing this one super laser focused thing, helping you scale your business through sustainable systems and empower people so that the natural byproduct is your ability to systematically increase your net worth and your ability to step away from the office and minimize the stress that you endure from your business. And so, my friends, that is it. Number one, need for a change. Number two, against all odds, this is hard. Number three, to fill the gaps in skills and knowledge. Number four, what does it mean to work on the business and what do I do in those work on the business time blocks. And number five, go further, faster. If you're at the point in your journey where you're just stuck and like two or three or four of these reasons are like, yeah, I definitely need a coach. If, if you connect with some of the stuff I went through here and you're at the point where you've already achieved conventional success, you already figured out a way to sell, you know, four, six, eight homes a month and it's just really hard. It's not based on sound systems. You're still the main cog in all of it. You've got to reach out to us at least to have that initial conversation. Where are you now? Where do you want to go? What's holding you back? It's a very simple coaching session that we offer to someone that is considering real estate B school.
