Is it possible to have true freedom as a business owner? You know, put real estate aside for a minute and just think about, you know, an entrepreneur when they start a business. How do they transition from being in every single decision, doing all of the technical work in the business to transforming that entity into a business that runs without them? You know, it's been said that you can have control and, and you can have growth in business, but you can't have both. So as you look at where you are in your business growth journey, are you more attached to controlling every part of your real estate business or are you more attached and committed to growing your real estate business? And so that's what I want to really dive deep in today, this conversation about control versus growth and what's possible to when you release things and you don't hold so tightly onto every single thing in your business that makes growth possible. Stick around to the end of this video. I want to give you access to a report I put together that details all of the six stages of growth going from a solo agent all the way to a true business owner of a high performing real estate team. So stick around for that. If you like these videos, give me the thumbs up and make sure you subscribe to the channel and turn on your notifications and leave comments below. So this journey from, you know, grinding it out, traditionally successful, having no time freedom whatsoever and most, most of the time not having a whole lot of money to show for their efforts, that's like traditional success in our industry. Think of agents in your market that you think are successful. They're selling 20, 25, 30 homes per year, right? Not per month, per year. They're working most evenings and weekends, right? They're working on vacation. They have no freedom of time. These are conversations and things you may not know about them, but you know, you may be that agent, right? When I ask you, hey, you know, are you making the kind of money that you want, working the hours you want with the level of stress, that's manageable. Those are kind of the benchmarks by which we assess our members when they first come in. It's a conversation around money, around freedom and around impact. That's the mantra. That's what we focus on in real estate B school to help you make more money, you know, have more freedom and experience more impact in your family and in your community so that you're not going to have regrets at the end of this journey. And so when I think about, you know, members of ours that have gone through the entire, you know, ascension from busy real estate agent losing their mind, you know, spending too much time, you know, distracted all the time, not present at home, strained relationships, to completely free taking, you know, a month off at a time, 15 weeks vacation. I think about Dave Friedman. You know, we started working together in 2014. This was Dave's third year in real estate at the time. He sold 65 homes that year, working seven days a week. And this conversation of, you know, is it possible to have freedom as a business owner, that's exactly what we committed to doing together. Even though real estate B school was only around for a year and a half, I'd already done this journey myself. Took him, took me about six years to go from that new agent not knowing what I didn't know to, to running a business that did over 400 transactions in a single year where I worked 42 days that year. And I don't say that out of ego. I say that to impress upon you the fact that this journey, you know, and the stages that we built and all the tool systems and tactics and strategies and mindsets to make that transition, it was built for me by me never realizing that I would create real estate B School. Real Estate B school only exists so that guys like Dave, our other members, you know, can experience a less painful, more profitable, you know, journey to business ownership. And so Dave started out, you know, in the lower stages where it was just Dave doing it. You know, he made a commitment to keep selling. I'm going to focus on the things that make me money. That is developing new business, having consultations with buyers and sellers and closing deals and making money and earning commission checks. Right? So when he goes from that world of grinding it out real estate agent to being able to build a business where this year he'll do over, I think, 450 transactions, he'll earn about four and a half million of GCI and make a seven figure income. He's 10x his income in the handful of years that we've been working together. And the main ingredient was this commitment to be a business owner. The mindset, the thinking around it, the to be a business owner. And so that is easy to say, hard to do. 80% of your success in this journey is in this ascension comes down to your mindset. So are you thinking about your business like a business? Are you wrapped up in doing tasks in the business that are lower level tasks? You know, is there a realization that you could do more in your business than you're doing today? Are you spending time, be honest with yourself, where are you Spending your time. Are you building systems in marketing, in sales and client delivery? Right. Are you building, do you have a planning process? Are you tracking the right things in your business? Do you have a way to bring people into your world where they can help you grow this thing? Those were some of the things that we worked on together to allow Dave to go from 70 hours a week, no vacation to, you know, he took 30 days to go to the Galapagos Island Fish for two weeks and spent two weeks with his wife Hayley. He got his pilot's license, which is I think was like 20 hours a week for like a year. He doesn't go to the office anymore. You know, he has a few leaders on his team running the day to day because he's been able to scale step by step and each step of the journey, each stage, he's had to delegate pieces of what he was doing so that he can elevate in the business. Our planning system is the last thing I want to share with you. And, and it's what Dave has used not only for himself, but every one of his team members has used the business freedom planning system. This is a system that we take the far out, you know, not far out like groovy, but far out like a three year vision, and we bring it back into a one year plan. We take that one year plan both in your personal life and your professional life, and we land it in a 90 day world. We take that 90 day work world, we chunk it down into monthly goals. We take those monthly goals and we have weekly commitments. We take those weekly commitments and we translate it into our daily planning. And then at the end of the week, at the end of the month, at the end of the quarter, at the end of the year, we get one step closer toward achieving our vision, right? This vision we have for our lives and the actual achievement process toward that vision. It's not magic. Very few people do it. If you ask, line up a hundred real estate agents that are struggling, right? They're not making the kind of money they want. They're working hours that are less desirable than they want to work. They're stressed more often than not. If you lined up a hundred agents and you asked them, hey, show me your three year vision, show me your one year plan, hey, what's your planning system to take, you know, 90 days at a time and your weekly commitments and show me how you show gratitude every day, how you have awareness around what's working or what's not working every day, like all of these things that we do in our planning process are critical to your success. And if you have no operating system, no planning system, you know, personally or professionally, the chances that you scale your business, this conversation of, you know, growing a business without you doing all of it, the chance that you get there, it's pretty slim. And so no matter where you are in your journey, there is a stage by stage process. There are certain things you need to do when you're starting in the business, when you're sort of ramping, you know, your sales to 500k, where you're building, where you're leading, where you're exiting production, and where you take the owner's seat. There are specific tools and systems you need to employ, specific questions you need to ask yourself. You need to know what has to happen to graduate from this stage to, to the next stage, from that stage to the next stage. Right. This isn't a haphazard process. There's a specific roadmap to follow. And so if you want access to that roadmap, go to realestate business growth.com we call it our real estate Business Growth Navigator. It's the step by step process that takes you through all six stages of growth. To go from less than 100k to over 3 million GCI in your real estate team, to scale your business without scaling your time, without scaling your stress, to have more impact in your family, in your community, have more freedom of time and freedom of stress.
