A short motivational talk (YouTube) offering practical, time-management and goal-setting advice for real estate professionals to avoid burnout. Emphasizes designing an "ideal week" through time-blocking and anchoring daily work to a clear three-year vision that sustains long-term motivation.
Just on a practical level, you have to time block you just in a rational state where you're not triggered, you're not too busy, maybe a Sunday afternoon, you're drinking your coffee on the back patio. You're designing a week that you know if you followed it, you could get everything done. So we call that the ideal week. It's not going to ever work out perfectly, but at least you've designed it in a way. Like, man, if I could actually follow this, this would be amazing. So that's step number one. Step number two is that you have to know in your gut, your heart why you're even doing it. So for me it's. It's this concept of a three year vision being real clear. If I stack the days and the weeks and the months and the quarters and a few years that I could achieve this three years from now in my marriage and my physical body, with my kids, with my bank accounts, with my business, with the time I'm putting in my business to the things I'm now doing or not doing in the business. If you can get clear on the three year vision. I have found personally that that's the thing that keeps me going on the daily. It's easy to say that you're supposed to do new business development from 8aM to 1pM every day. Who doesn't think that's a good idea? Does anybody think that's a bad idea? No. We all know that that's the right idea. But then we'll take anything in its place.
