Can You Increase Your Productivity And Not Lose Time?

Real estate agents can gain time and money by focusing on four high-leverage activities: prospecting, lead follow-up, appointments, and negotiations. Build repeatable systems for lead generation, then plan quarterly, weekly, and daily. The shift from agent to owner happens when you structure your work instead of just working harder.
As a busy real estate agent or team leader, how could you possibly keep up with the day to day demands in your business and still, you know, do anything outside of real estate? I've been there. I feel your pain. I got into real estate, you know, out of a corporate career where I just had high hopes for time, freedom and lots of money and just a lifestyle that I couldn't have in my corporate job. Truth is, I wasn't able to achieve it. You know, I sold a lot of homes in my first year, two, three years, and I didn't apply any leverage and I hadn't really figured out productivity and how to implement strategies that allowed me to do more in less time. Stick around the end of this video, I want to invite you into the Time Freedom Challenge. I'm going to coach you. I'm going to explain some of these tips and tricks that I figured out around my time and how to do more in less time. I went from making like 15, 20 bucks an hour in real estate to making $2,300 an hour. If you liked the video, give me the thumbs up and subscribe to the channel and turn on your notifications. Let's talk about productivity specifically as it relates to, to just getting more done in less time, selling more homes as a real estate agent or team leader without giving more of your life away. In real estate B school, we talk all the time about time, freedom, money freedom, freedom from stress, you know, more impact that we want to have in our businesses and our families, in our communities and in the world. And oftentimes traditional success in our industry does not lead us to have any freedom whatsoever. So there's certain things I want to talk about in terms of productivity that will allow you to free yourself from the shackles of traditional real estate. The first thing you have to do is break down the different functions of a real estate agent. And that may be a crazy thing if you're hearing that for the first time, but it's true. You're doing 12, at least 12 different jobs as a real estate agent if you're doing real estate at a high level. So if you're a top producing agent or if you're a team leader and you haven't figured out like, man, there, there's a marketing coordination job, a listing coordinator, there's a closing coordinator, there's a courier, there's an office coordinator, there's inside sales, there's showing agents, there's buyer agents, there's listing coordinators, there's the owner who cast the vision, there's like all of these things that you can photographer. Just think of all the things you could do as a real estate agent that you're most likely doing. And if you have no awareness around each of these things are different jobs. And if I could just structure my business in a way from a productivity standpoint to only do the things that make me a lot of money. High leverage, high dollar productive activities. In real estate, there's only four things that get you paid really well and it's P, L A N. This might be worth writing down. First one is prospecting what we call new business development. This is generating interest in your buyer and seller services every day. The second is lead follow up. L following up with all the folks that weren't ready to transact when they first came into your world or the last time you followed up with them. Right? The fortune is in the follow up. In real estate. The A is for appointments, your buyer consultations, your seller consultations showing homes. Right. The appointments that you have with your clients to generate that commission. Check that opportunity to get to the closing table and get paid. And then N is negotiating contracts, you know, negotiating on a listing or negotiating on behalf of your buyer. Repair negotiations. Some of those things are pay a little bit more than others. But generally plan is what gets you paid in real estate. The second thing I want to talk about is think about your business in terms of a system of systems when it comes to productivity. If you're constantly doing the hundreds of activities that a real estate agent that wants to become a business owner has to do and you don't systemize your business, the chances that you'll ever own a business that doesn't have you working every every waking hour become way less. Right? The chances that you can actually achieve this transition from real estate agent to business owner, it drops dramatically if you're just doing all the things without any rhyme or reason. And so a good example of this is lead generation. You know, real estate B school we call these lead gen levers. Every one of our lead gen levers is designed to give you 50 transactions or more. If you go deep versus wide in your real estate business and build a system around your database, build a system around expired, build a system around yard marketing, build a system around social media and social proof, right? All of those lead gen levers would bring you 50 transactions. So it's not real complicated from a productivity standpoint to scale your business because you're thinking in terms of systems and your lead gen levers are the most powerful systems you can have in your real estate business. The third and last thing I want to share with you is a planning system. In terms of productivity, it's going to be really hard for you to achieve. Maybe you have this three year vision and you break it down to one year plan and you're living in 90 days and you forget that every week requires commitments on how you're going to use your time. You're living into that ideal week that I've talked about in previous trainings where I want my week to look like this, but it looks like this right now, and how do I bridge the gap there? These weekly commitments, right, are the things you have to focus on to be able to move closer to this ideal world that you want to live in. And then the daily commitments you're making, the top three things you must do before the day is over to move your business forward. You know, a planning system, it's not necessarily the most natural thing for real estate agents. Typical real estate agents are high I personalities, they're extroverted. And the thought of like physically writing in a planner and, you know, committing to working on these projects, what we call rocks in a quarter, and then breaking down those commitments to five or six things that you're going to commit to doing in a week and then every day making your top three, that's not a natural process for most real estate agents. Here's the thing though. If you want to make the shift from agent to owner and get a little bit of leverage, get some time freedom, make more money in less time, bring your stress level down so you can show up as a better dad, as a better, you know, mom, as a better husband or wife, you know, just show up better for your team, even if you only have an administrator, right? Are you just this stick in the mud every day that you're barking because you're not focusing on your plan and you're sort of out of alignment with what you say you want and how you're acting in your business in terms of productivity. So building out a plan, following a planning system. For us in real estate B school, it's the business freedom planner. Something I've been working on for every bit of, you know, every year since 2007, I got into this business and it's probably on its 12th, 13th, 15th, 20th iteration at this point. And I still use this planner to this day to make sure that my three year vision, my big goals, my big dreams are chunked down into a year, into a quarter, into a week, into the thing I'm going to do today to realize that long term vision. So I'll leave you with this final thought. You know, when you think about where you are today, it may bring up some discouragement and may bring up some mixed emotions and maybe even some shame. There is no shame in where you're starting out. So I want to leave you with that. If you're not willing to just be honest with yourself where you're starting. You know, productivity, the things I've shared with you today, it won't matter. You know, focus on what's possible when you take this approach to your business. When you think about, like, how can I be most productive today? Think about your plan. Think about the things you're spending time on. I didn't even get into morning routine, but that's part of that planning system is that starting every day in a very specific way, you know, I'm offering the opportunity just to spend a little bit of time with me. I'm going to push you. I'm going to coach you. I'm going to train you in our Time Freedom challenge. Go to thetimefreedomchallenge.com or click on the link below. And here's the thing.
