COACHING TIP: Grade Yourself on These Personal and Professional Focus Areas

Grade yourself on six business areas and six personal ones, from sales to spirituality. Plot them on a wheel, connect the dots, and you'll see where your life is lopsided. Revisit it every few months to watch what shifts.
So this is, there's two versions of this. There's the life version and a business version. And it's basically six areas of focus in your personal life and six areas in your business. This is basically grading yourself in six areas personal and six areas professional. And so it's zero percent in the middle. If you're awful at that thing, give yourself a one or a two and just kind of go through the six and grade yourself on it. And the business ones could really be sort of anything. So sales is obvious, the sales process. So it's lead generating, it's those conversations. It's, you know, when you're getting together face to face, are your agents giving the same presentation every time? So it's sales, it's marketing. So for marketing, do you have consistent buyer leads coming in? Do you have consistent seller leads coming in? Are you doing USP based direct response marketing? Are you kind of using some of the basic fundamentals that we've learned financial in the business? Are you doing those three things? The 90 day, the monthly forecast and what's the third 90 day cash flow ROI. So you do an ROI on everything. Tracking accountability. That one's obvious. Leadership. Are there areas where, you know you need to step up as a leader and you're just not doing it? You know, are your agents sort of holding you hostage or you running the show and then recruiting? I don't think there's anyone in here that shouldn't be, maybe not actively recruiting, but at least thinking about recruiting and what that's going to look like. Do you have a consistent flow of people that want to come join your team? And that's, I'm realizing that that's a huge leverage point with my team and my team knows that I am recruiting and it's just like I don't know of any super bowl team or what's the team that played baseball last night? That. Yeah. So that team, like, I'm pretty sure, I'm pretty sure that they have some, what's it called, like a farm system. Like, I'm pretty sure they're always looking for talent. And I'm pretty sure that team, every player on that team has to be improving their skills in order to stay on the World Series championship, whatever it's called. And then so for personal, physical, there's probably four areas there. You know, rest, hydration, diet and fitness. Emotional. You know, this is a tough journey that you're on, but how are you doing emotionally? Are you stressed all the time? Are you enjoying the ride? Grade yourself there. Financial you know what is probably the number one measure there is what's your net worth? What is your net worth? Is it positive? What's your net worth? Is it where you want it to be? So grade yourself there. Family. When you're with your family, are you present? So are you present with your family, with your kids? Are you actively sort of on Facebook or your phone? Are you actively sort of present with your wife or husband? And spiritual? So even if you're not of faith, do you have some kind of connection with something greater than yourself? Pretty lonely existence to not have that. And then your career ties into the business, but how do you feel like you're doing in your business life overall? And just put a little tick mark. So as you're evaluating one thing, basically, if you're a one, put a line down there. If you're a nine, put a line up here. So kind of just estimate where you are in it and then afterwards you're going to connect the dots with straight lines. So the whole point is, if you're kicking ass in everything, you've got a circle, you're going to be able to run pretty fast. If you're kicking ass, if you're 10 in your business. So in your career, on the personal. But your family life is for shit and your health is for shit. I promise you that that 10 isn't going to make up for the two and the three in those other two areas. So the goal is that this is just a graphical representation of, of what your life looks like and what your business looks like. And the goal is to be able to just take a snapshot now and you'll revisit this 612 months from now and you'll be able to see. It's pretty obvious if I was honest with myself, that my health is something I'm ignoring. I'm ignoring my family and I'm putting effort there.
