Gary Vaynerchuk's 2011 advice on personal service still beats AI for real estate agents. Deep relationships and heartfelt interactions create a moat that AI won't match for 8 to 10 years. Local businesses win by going back to 1950s-style care while AI handles contracts and routine tasks.
Yes, I'm using AI in my business. It's a massive leverage point, but it's not, I'm not going to look for the tool that's going to do the whole job for me. I think AI is going to, going to be like a almost. Has anyone read the book thank you Economy by Gary Vee? The takeaway from the book essentially is this. If you're a local service provider, because we don't have the money or you don't even have the time to figure out the AI tool or the train the person, like unless we're leading, like we're a big company, we're leading the tech charge or like we're funded differently and we're not in a local service business. Our only way to dominate and build a like really wide and super deep moat around our business is to go back to the way business was done in the 1950s. And it's just having really heartfelt conversations with people, caring about people, serving them at a level that AI is not going to do, at least for the next eight to 10 years. At some point AI is probably going to do all the door opening, all the contract writing, it's going to eliminate attorneys, it's going to eliminate mortgage people, it's going to eliminate as much of our job as possible. There will be, you know, robots standing in front of listings that'll guide you through and showings will probably not happen from like that's all probably coming, but I don't think it's coming anytime soon.
