FREE 3-1-90 Workbook & Training for Real Estate Agents!!

Lars Hedenborg walks through the 3-1-90 framework: a 3-year vision, 1-year plan, and 90-day execution cycles. The hardest part of reaching goals is grinding through repetitive micro-tasks, and 90-day containers create just enough urgency to build habits without losing sight of the bigger picture.

The hardest part of achieving anything in any area of life is a lot of times we have to do things that are not fun things to do and we don't know why we're doing them. If you knew that shoveling ditches every day doesn't matter what's going on with the weather, but there would be like $20 million cash at the end of you shoveling ditches, you know, five days a week, 50 hours a week for three years in a row. You'd probably do it. Who would sign up for that? I don't know if I would do it. I might do it. It'd be easy. Probably get bored. Real, we have to do the equivalent of that. Like, I just don't know any other way to get physically fit except to dig ditches in the area of my, of my body. I don't know how to get closer to my wife than to do things that feel like I don't want to do them. Sometimes maybe it's dishes when I feel like relaxing, or maybe it's get up early with the dogs because we have too many of them and let her sleep right when I don't feel like it. So it's those little micro ditches that we need to dig every day in multiple areas of our life so that in the future we're in a better place. Raise your hand if you've got like a kick ass planning process. You're absolutely crushing it. Certain of your future, as much as you can be in these crazy times. Anyone? It's hard, right? I just had a call this morning with a guy like his last four years. His goal was to get from 5 to 10 million and he completed another year at 5 million. I'm like, okay, we gotta change something. So three year vision is 2028. So we'll talk about that one year plan 2026. And then this concept of living in these 90 day cycles, but then also backing these 90 days into weekly and then daily is the entire game. I hear a lot of agents saying what they want in the future, but very rarely are they doing the things today required to get there. So most agents plan in one of two extremes. Either they think way too far into the future and never translated into action, or they think only about what's in front of them and never create, create a bigger vision to pull them forward. So the 3190 framework solves this. Three years is long enough to reinvent your identity, build real momentum and make bold changes. One year brings that vision into clear focus and forces you to confront reality in the 90 day world is the sweet spot. Short enough to stay focused and long enough to create meaningful change or habits. This layered approach gives you the clarity, direction and proven Runway for transformation. And so why 90 days are the most important window? So psychologically, you humans operate best inside 90 day containers. Years too long, we drift, we Forget, we coast. 30 days is too short. We can't build true momentum. But 90 days? That's where commitment and possibility meet. A 90 day world gives you enough time to execute, but not so much time that you get lazy. It creates urgency, focus, and accountability. This is why top performers, elite teams, and the most successful companies in the world operate in quarters. When you break your life and business into 90 day sprints, you unlock compounding progress.
