Gaining Clarity in Your Life and Your Business

Lars Hedenborg teaches a clarity exercise: pick three words for your best self, three for how you want to treat others, and three marking your past wins. Set them as a daily phone alarm to remember how to show up. High performance is sustained success across your whole life, not just peak moments.
Hey, Real Estate B School community. Lars Hedenborg here. I'm the founder of Real Estate B School, and I want to let you into our world. And that's really what I aim to do on these weekly messages. Let you into the world in terms of what real Estate B School is about and what we're studying. This past week, we did a high performance session. And for those of you that aren't familiar with the study of high performance, I'm a certified high performance coach through High Performance Academy. And. And it's really all about succeeding in multiple areas of your life over the long term. So it's not peak performance, right? We don't want to be a great dad one day and then beat your kids the next day. We don't want to be a great real estate business owner one day and then fall short the other 364 days of the year. So high performance is about sustained levels of performance over the long term. So we can really be successful. So this past week, we studied the topic of clarity. And when it comes to clarity, there are three things I want you to know. And so there are three areas, basically. The first is yourself, Your view of yourself, the best version of yourself. We went through an exercise where we picked three words that describe our best self. And we don't always show up that way, right? We have those days where we sleep in, you know, we're not focused, we're impatient with our kids, we don't have time for our spouse. We're, you know, putting out fires at work, and we're not intentional. And then we come home, we watch tv, we have a few drinks, and we eat a bag of chips, right? Those are the days where we're not clear on who we are. But when it comes down to clarity, you know, what's the best version of yourself look like? Where you're really on point and in your relationships, with your health, in your business. And so words for me were like bold and courageous. In order for me to do the work I want to do and to have the impact in the world, Bold and courageous come to mind. What are your three words? Pick three words that describe your best self. Then the next area that high performance is really focused on in terms of clarity are the interactions we have with others. So when you're at your best, how do you want to show up and interact with others? For me, it was loving and present and joyful. These are things sometimes I struggle with when I'm hard charging, you know, my presence, my ability just to be in one place at one time with my children. I have a six year old, a nine year old, and they're both at the point where they know the phone in my hand is not a good thing for them because I'm not engaged with them. I'm not present with them. So what are the three words that you want to remember remind yourself of that will best the best version of your interactions with others. Write those three words down and then the third area are your success markers. So when you look back at your life and the success that you've had, what are the three words that really describe why you've been successful at your best? So for me it's been hard working, it's been discipline. Those are probably two of the biggest ones for me. What are the three words that you could use to describe the best version of yourself as it relates to the success you've had in the past? And here's the challenge. So take these nine words, three words for self, three for your interactions and three for your success markers, and put them into your phone as an alarm. And so every day, once a day at 7am or 2pm when times are tough in the day, and remind yourself of how you want to show up in the world. And so nine words will pop up once a day and you'll be reminded and you'll read these words and you'll be reminded of how you want to show up in the world. So that's the challenge if you have any interest in taking your business to a high performance level. And we study, we do. So the work we do in real estate B school, it's all about helping you build a highly profitable business through the use of sustainable systems and empower people so that you can systematically increase your net worth and time away from the office. But we do that through a bunch of different tools. We've got the six drivers and the toolbox that we use in addition to the navigator and just all these cool tools. If you really want to focus on building a business rather than just selling homes, please take us up on a free coaching session. So there's no obligation for the coaching session, but don't jump on the call. If you have no desire to get out of the status quo and if you're happy selling 8, 10, 12, 20 homes a year, please don't take us up on the offer. If you want to sell 3040-501001-50200 plus homes per year like many of our clients are doing, but have the time and money freedom so you're not working 60, 70, 80 hours a week. That's what we teach in real estate B school. So it's business coaching for real estate agents. So there's an option to schedule a call on this page. So please take us up on the offer and get on the phone with me or one of our business coaches and we will show you the path to freedom in your business. Time and money. Freedom. Until then, be good and God bless. We'll talk to you later. Bye. Bye.
