A coaching talk (YouTube) about improving time-management and productivity for business owners and teams. The speaker recommends Dan Kennedy’s No BS Time Management (2nd ed.) and Chet Holmes’ 22-video Business Growth Mastery series (notably the time-management and appointment-setting videos), gives a strategic definition of productivity, and advises using several of these resources as team training.
So, Dan Kennedy, if you haven't read the book no BS Time Management, the second edition, the first edition was, I think before the Internet came out and before everyone like was ruled by their cell phone. But you need to pick up that book. So it's no BS Time Management by Dan Kennedy, the second edition. It's just really good. And all the principles we talk about as far as how you honor your time and how you're in integrity with yourself about your time and the dollar value you put to your time. So he defines productivity as the deliberate strategic investment of your time, talent, intelligence, energy, resources and opportunities in a manner calculated to move you measurably closer to meaningful goals. And so I just think it's a cool definition of productivity. There's a picture of me with one of the grumpiest guys I've met. So again, some of this is obvious stuff. You and your agents have to plan your day in advance and you've got to be intentional about things. If you haven't listened to Chet Holmes, if you go to YouTube, there's a 22 video series. Chet Holmes, what is that? Business Growth Mastery. So Chet Holmes, BGM, it's the one that's 22 videos. Well, here's the one on time management. So this is 30 minutes on time management, the same subject. There's a bunch of good stuff in here. So about five or six of these, you can straight up present them to your team as training in. You know, when I looked at our new, our current training schedule, at the end, every week you should give back to your team in some form or fashion. And, and there's like five or six of this Chet Home series which are worth going to. One is the high art of getting appointments with anyone, which is really, really good. Some of the, like the goal setting thing is really good. Some of them, like you're not going to teach them how to become a marketing master. What else? Anyway, you can look through them. How to get an appointment, getting an appointment with anyone. The perfect sales process is another good one. Those sorts of things.
