Hire for Discipline and Accountability... NEVER FIRE AGAIN! 🔥

A talk on hiring for trustworthiness, accountability, and discipline so you don't have to fire people later. The speaker uses examples to show why these core values matter more than skills when picking candidates.
You're looking for a core values fit. Do you have listed core values? So trustworthy worthiness is one of your core values? Because this is a critical part, and they may not. They may not even be the right ones, right or wrong. I lean toward what the business needs. And, yeah, we have to bring on good people that we want to help and serve, and we trust them and. And they have integrity and all of that. We never had to compromise that to bring in someone that hustled and worked hard and they embraced accountability and discipline. Those were our first two core values that automatically got rid of, like, 95% people on the earth. We would literally ask questions in an interview around, like, give me examples in college where you went above and beyond in terms of hustle and work, working hard. And they're like, well, I had to carry two jobs. I didn't come from money, and, you know, whatever. And so talk to me about accountability and discipline. Like, the only way anything happens in sales is if you do the work you need to do. Give me examples where you have accountability and discipline in your life. There was this guy, literally on a college Tour. He gained 70 pounds in his first two years in college, and then he just decided he was going to lose it. And now he's changed his life. So that's a good example of how it clearly got away from him. But then he made a commitment. He started tracking macros. He has an app that's a really good example of how you embrace accountability and discipline.
