How Does Your Personal Health Affect Your Business?

A speaker explains how sleep, exercise, diet, and hydration directly shape your energy and presence as a leader. He shares his routine: 8+ hours of sleep, working out four times a week, cutting gluten and dairy, and replacing coffee with smoothies. Being physically present for your team matters more than you think.
I promise you, this is so far from anything that you've ever been to. And now I'm going to push through physiology because this is what it's all about. How have you felt energetically in the last week or month? How have you felt energetically in the last week or month? And why do you think that's so? So have you felt energetically? Why do you think it's. Why do you think that's so? Is it sleep, lack of sleep, lack of hydration, or if your energy is through the roof, have you been hydrating more, sleeping more, eating better, exercising? How have you felt energetically in the last week or month? Have you recently made any changes in your health or diet that have affected your energy positively or negatively? Have you recently made any changes in your health or diet that has affected your energy for the better or for the worse? How about your physical presence? So today I do feel like I'm more present on this call. It's because I slept over eight hours last night. I've been hydrating, I've been eating real clear. I've been working out four times really hard every week. I'm sort of hitting the four things I know I need to hit. I've cut out tv, so that means I'm not snacking late at night. I learned that for me, snacking and TV were related. And even now I think I've. In the last four weeks, I think I've watched TV at night like once or twice. Julie was out with Girlfriends. I might watch Bar rescue or like a Million Dollar listing Los Angeles. Those are kind of my two shows that she doesn't really like so much. So that's kind of my trigger. So you got to be aware of those things. So how about your physical presence? Do you feel your posture, your voice, your gestures are portraying the person you want the world to perceive, especially with your team, your staff and your agents alike when you're coming into that space. That's one thing that I realized that I'm not bringing. And this is with Sheree and Kyle both being really honest with me about how I show up in the office. So me thinking that it's okay to show up with my normal energy levels and just. And just the cop out for me is that, well, that's just the way I am. I'm kind of a low key guy. No. But if I want to rally the troops and I get my one shot on Tuesdays to do that, you know, or you get a couple times, three times a week to show up for your team in a certain way. You've got to bring it. So do you feel your posture, your voice, your gestures are portraying the person you want the world to perceive. So give me some love on those three questions. How have you felt energetically? Why do you think that's so? Have you made any changes in your health or diet that affected your energy better or worse? And how about your physical presence? Do you feel your posture, voice, gestures are portraying the person you want the world to perceive? The obvious part about diet is that you really should watch the amount of gluten that you consume. Dairy, sugar and alcohol. So gluten, dairy, sugar and alcohol. So the white pastas and breads and those sorts of things. Sugar, alcohol and dairy. Dairy is another pretty bad culprit. There's really nothing in dairy that you can't get in other supplements. And if you need something in your coffee or you, you know, you shouldn't be eating cereal anyway, most of them are crap. But you can have almond milk or some other other thing. There's this really cool thing that this tianchi, it's on herbworks.com it's t I a n c h I.herbworks.com I have this twice a day and its claim to fame is the most effective energy, stress and brain formula on the market. It tastes pretty good. It's supposed to brighten your mind, give you clarity, be able to handle stress and feel alive. And I definitely noticed the difference here. So I would definitely check that out as a replacement for coffee and do some kind of. The cool thing about smoothies is that juicing is a complete pain in the ass. Smoothies are just throwing a bunch of stuff into a blender. And if you have a Vitamix and I think there's another brand that's pretty good, you just hit it. I mean, it doesn't take much to put, you know, cucumber, spinach, you know, an orange, a lime and ginger into, you know, along with some good oils into Vitamix, a couple ice cubes. And you've got smoothies for the morning. And then you have Tian Qi twice a day, early morning, empty stomach. And then sort of mid afternoon when you hit that lull, you've got to get off the coffee and then make sure you get the sleep and hydration.
