A real estate agent credits E-Myth Revisited with teaching him to build a business that doesn't depend on him. After leaving corporate work in 2007, he learned to delegate and systematize, which let him handle multiple closings monthly without burning out.
I left my corporate job March 7, 2007. I was at a Proctor event in April 2007, and I don't remember. I don't think there's anything lasted in my business that long from that program. But the first book that he sent us or recommended was E. Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber. And he I remember there was a DVD or a disc, a CD audio interview of Craig and Michael Gerber talking about the E. Myth. And for whatever reason, that is the thing that like. So if you haven't read that book or if it's been been a while, don't read the real estate version. There's like an E. Myth for real estate agents or something. Don't read that. Read E. Myth Revisited. It's just the mindset that I thought about my business, and it's okay not to have the mindset that I had, but I just wanted the leverage and I wanted things to run a little bit more smoothly. If you could produce at a level where you can knock two or three closings out in a month, but it takes you like 45 to 60 days to do it, and then you service it, and then you get one or two closings or like one closing in two months, you have what it takes to be able to afford to delegate.
