A first-person narrative about the speaker's experience with joining eXp Realty (EXP), recounting initial resistance from peers, recruitment attempts by friends (notably John), and advice to consider brokerages with multiple income streams. The speaker emphasizes the importance of adding value to others over time as the core of eXp’s model and recommends sitting down to evaluate eXp when invited.
Get in a brokerage where there's multiple streams of income is my best advice. And if someone invited you from exp definitely sit down and look at it with them. You will not find a harder no than me on the model. I remember when John called me. He called me. So I'm. I have already let a coach go for my coaching organization because he joined exp. I had shut down a really good friend of mine to the point where I almost lost a friendship over trying to recruit me to exp. John calls me on September 5, 2020, and he asked me, are you sitting down? Instantly I said, jen and John are getting a divorce. I'm not even joking. The severity, the seriousness of your tone, and it was almost just as worse. He said, I'm moving to EXP And I'm like. Instantly my palms sweat and I'm just like, what? I thought we both, like this was a thing that we both were united on. Like, it was not the thing that was on a Saturday and I was licensed with EXP P. Six days later, they're all coming over. And so it's just a question of just being there for them, inviting them to events that might help them and just adding more value over time. That is how this model thrives is just add more value than anyone else that they know.
