How I Escaped From the Grind and Built a TRUE Real Estate Business

A real estate agent spent 11 months grinding on non-productive tasks like printing materials and signing documents. He hired help part-time, but the hire demanded full-time work and higher pay. To protect family time, he built systems late at night, 10pm to 2am, working 10-12 hours a week on automation instead of deals.
When I got into real estate, I.
Instantly noticed that most of the stuff I was doing was not dollar productive.
And I don't know if because I.
Came from a corporate background or what it was.
I found myself like loading document signatures and like printing out marketing material and all stuff that like, it literally has.
To happen so you could mentally think about it. Well, this has to happen.
But I was just like, there's no effing way I could do this thing.
If I actually want to build a business, you know.
So I just had this like all the time I was like sort of.
Agitated that I was showing homes that I was. I remember one Sunday, the printer. I had designed a marketing campaign, a postcard marketing campaign.
And I remember the printer, it was.
Like two big cardstock and the printer.
Was overheating and I'm like, I wanted to like, what am I doing?
This is nonsense.
It's like nonsense. Because I.
The identity I had was one of.
A business owner, a CEO. I had this vision in my mind and I hadn't written it down at.
That point, but it did have a vision of making a lot of money in real estate and not working crazy hours.
And when I found myself working all of doing all the things that I.
Can get somebody else to do for a lot less money, that's when I.
Went on this tear to create a.
System and hand it off. Create a system and hand it off.
I got my first. Well, she started part time.
She demanded full time and demanded 50% more than I agreed to pay her two weeks earlier. And she was worth double even that.
February of 2008, 11 months into real estate, those first 11 months and even.
The next 12 months, completely sideways.
And I was working all the time.
And that's when I did the 10pm.
To 2am systems building. Three times a week I'd say goodnight to the kids and I'd go up.
In like 10, 12 hours a week. So my business, building time blocks that I asked you guys to do for three or four hours a week, I was doing 10 to 12 hours a week.
I was just doing them at times.
That you guys probably don't want to do them at 10pm to 2am but.
For me it was life or death because I didn't want to be a crappy husband, I didn't want to be.
An absent dad, like I had.
So I had like a lot of.
Emotional juice riding on making a lot of money and being present at home.
