A real estate agent sold 27 homes solo in 10 months, then hired a licensed administrator with 7 years experience. After that hire, sales jumped to 44 homes. The assistant handled closings, listings, and showings at $20/hr, freeing the agent to focus on growth.

February of the following year (the year the speaker sold 44 homes).
Seven years working for another agent.
Started at 20 hours per week and became full time two weeks later.
My first 10 months, it was. I did everything. 10 months. I sold 27 homes and I had no leverage whatsoever. Everything that had to happen, I did everything. I didn't have a closing coordinator. I had no admin support whatsoever. Every lockbox, every whatever, whatever. I did all of it. The next year I did 44 homes. But February of that year, I hired an administrator who was licensed and she had worked for seven years for another agent, happened to be a really good agent, and so she was able to come in and she instantly became my closing coordinator, my listing coordinator, and all the marketing systems I had built my first year in the business. She was able to run most of them because the system was built already. So instantly I had someone come in. She started at 20 hours per week and she turned into full time two weeks later. And I almost. I didn't. I gave her a 50% raise because she demanded it in two weeks with me. And. And that was going from $14 per hour to $20 per hour. And she was licensed and she actually like showed a home here or there for me. She would show up to closings for me if I couldn't make it. She ran yard signs around. So everything that was like low dollar productive she was able to do. And she really cared about people and she loved people. She actually came to me at one point and she said she felt really stressed when transactions would go a little bit wobbly or sideways. And she almost felt like I wasn't supporting her. And I said, you know, I trust you implicitly. Like if a deal goes off the rails and we have to go back looking at homes or, you know, a listing doesn't go through, there's no pressure. Like, you just do everything you can do, but I have to go keep building the front stage of the business. And then that was all she needed to know where she's going to do her best job. And that was like 95% as good as I can, I can do. The mindset though is if someone can do it 80% as good as you can, then you could probably delegate it at some point.
