A speaker advises hiring real estate agents who demonstrate hustle, hard work, accountability, and discipline. The speaker suggests using behavioral interview prompts (e.g., past jobs, sports, summer work, accountability partners) to elicit concrete examples that reveal whether candidates truly possess these traits.
We hustle and work hard, and we embrace accountability and discipline. And I know I drove everyone crazy at every quarterly state of the company where I would say, what percentage of the general population or the agent population you really think embody both of those core values? If I lined up a thousand people, let's just say real estate agents, what percentage are both hustlers and hard workers? And they really enjoy accountability and discipline? It's a really low percentage. And when you're bringing agents into your world, those are easy things to identify. I don't care if you're 21 and you're coming out of college. I can ask you questions about, like, okay, so tell me about your. Your week in college. Did you have any jobs? Did you play sports? Or, like, give me examples of where you really were, like, putting in the effort in long days and hustling and working hard, you know, and they could talk about, like, they landscaped over the summers. They can give me tangible examples and then embrace accountability and discipline. So just give me some examples of how you went after something and you had an accountability partner or some level of discipline, and they either have it or they don't have it.
