A single-speaker YouTube talk advising real-estate agents to prioritize important, non-urgent work through time blocking (e.g., 90-minute focused sessions with notifications off) and to proactively design client experiences (showing concierge, inspector communication, frequent touchpoints for millennials). The speaker frames these as intentional decisions that shape a scalable business rather than letting urgent tasks dictate progress.
You just have to decide what's more important. It's always the urgent taking priority over the important. So if Tim has his business builder hat on and he's time blocked, 90 minutes to work on a system that he knows is going to make his business better in the future, but an urgent thing comes, comes in, you can decide in advance that you're going to turn notifications off and you're going to only work on a single application on your computer and notifications are off and you're just going to honor the time commitment or not. And if you don't do it, then you're just going to be left with the same business forever. But you actually get to decide and it is a decision. I could sit with that client and say, this is the process, the process that we start by signing this agreement and then I, I, I get to work for you. Part of working with me. We do have a showing concierge, so I have someone that is available to show homes to you. You could design it any way you want. We're going to get a home under contract and there's going to be some stuff to do there. Probably one of the more important things that's going to happen is making sure that this home isn't a piece of junk. And you can even work with the inspector on this in terms of how they communicate things to their client or your client. You could design an experience with your clients. Millennials that have 10 touch points throughout the 10 weeks they work with you that knock their socks off.
