Leverage Your Admin to Work at a Higher Level

Delegate low-value tasks to your admin daily using a physical stack and 15-minute review meeting. Block email during core hours (8am-6pm) and use tools like SaneBox and Front so your admin filters messages down to what matters.
Real quick on this. So we did delegate and elevate, right? So if you have an admin, delegate and elevate, you've got to give everything in the bottom two, two quadrants off, off to someone else or outsource it. As Dan Sullivan said, you've got to find a way to clear stuff out of your world. So EOS says just get a stack on your desk of stuff that you don't need to deal with and hand that stack off every day. Have a 15 minute meeting, same time every day with an admin to make sure that that stack is being handed off and any questions are being answered. Email, who's mostly giving up email? Has anyone attempted to mostly give up email? Email? I promise you, even if you think you can't give up email, you should, if you have an admin, you should at least give up email 5 days a week from 8 to 6 or some commitment to not be an email. If you could actually track the amount of time you pick up your phone and check email and you're going in email and the notifications, I promise you. Thomas made the comment. It's someone else is trying to come into your world that you didn't plan on that day. And I get it. If you're working offers and you have client communication but your admin knows what an offer looks like and you just time block from 12 to 12:30 I'm gonna work offers or whatever that time block. You've got to get rid of email or make some conscious effort around email. If you want to really delegate and elevate serve your team. Email is not serving your team. SaneBox is a really good app. Who's using SaneBox? That thing is really cool. I mean it's, it knows naturally what is junk and not junk and it makes some decisions for you and you have this folder to review and then it gets smart and you train it and that will probably cut in half your email time. Just the app, SaneBox, really, really good app. And then we, if you're a larger team, we have an app that Kendra found called Front, which all the email comes into. So Peggy gets all the email from both my real estate company and the coaching company and she decides what I need to read. Like literally there could be stuff blowing up. And Kendra has talked to Peggy about what I need to see or what I don't need to see. And Cherie is on front as well and she'll get stuff that is just real estate related. So I don't even know what the stats are, but I probably get a few emails out of 100 that really need to be in my world. And it sounds like, oh, that's easy for you to say, but I'm telling you, when you make a commitment towards something like that, all that just kind of gets out of your world. And you're like, email is not important. Like, if you want to impact the world in a great way and you're spending three hours in email a day, it's not incongruence. And then your calendar as well.
