Master New Business Development for Business GROWTH

You need 2.5 to 3 hours every workday on new business development, protected from interruptions. Use 50-minute focused work cycles with 10-minute breaks. The speaker warns against outsourcing or buying leads as shortcuts.
There has to be one thing in your business that you have to do no matter what in order to maintain the business that you want to maintain. There has to be some kind of new business development. And if you're working nine hours a day, then it's like two and a half to three hours is likely new business development. And it's non negotiable. It's, it's generally immovable. So it's just a mental wherewithal. When you look at your calendar and it's go time. I had 10 things come in my way during this one hour time block. 10 things that I saw people come in, my texts that I could have responded to, I could have gotten off track. Even responses to the texts that I was sending out I ignored because I committed that time to one activity for that period of time. And even on our real estate team we used to have it, everyone from 8:30 to 11:30 did new business development and it was 50, 10. So 50 minutes focus, 10 minutes off. 50 minute focus, 10 minutes off. And that's basically what you've got to do it for three hours a day if you want to grow your business. And there's no real getting around it. As far as anything I've ever learned anywhere, agents will try forever to buy the leads to outsource this. We're going to try to do anything, but you just have to have the discipline to do it.
