A motivational monologue for real estate agents arguing that daily habits and consistent discipline—small morning routines, time blocking, sleep, and energy/health prioritization—are the foundation for selling multiple homes per month. The speaker uses a personal anecdote about training for a marathon (despite not identifying as a runner) to illustrate that sustained small decisions, not identity or one-off efforts, produce results and prevent 'flabby' areas of business from accumulating.
I actually trained for a marathon. I did not run at all. And I did a whole training program. I didn't hit the time that I wanted, but I still got it done. I was on video. Julie, my wife, on video, got me saying after the marathon, literally within minutes, I am never running again. So I didn't identify as a runner. I just wanted to push hard and achieve the goal of running a marathon. You have to identify as an agent that does the work on the daily necessary to sell 2, 3, 4 homes per month, and the little habits, the time blocks in the morning, getting ready for the day, getting to sleep the night before, all the things you have to do to be able to prioritize your energy and protect your health and make sure that you're available to the loved ones around you, Your, your. Your spouse and your kids. These are all little habits, all little decisions where you don't just fall into a rut one day. You. You build habits, bad habits that allow you to gain those pounds. In my example. So now I just, you know, I have this philosophy with my physical body. It's easier to stay in shape than to get in shape. So what area of your business are you really, really overweight and flabby right now? For most agents, and this is like 99.9%. I don't care what level of production you probably aren't doing the work on the daily.
