Speaker (Chris) defines a "multiplier project" as a strategic system or initiative which, once implemented, will significantly move a business forward—distinct from ad-hoc tactics. He cites examples: an expired-mailer direct-response system, a raving-fan/viral marketing program, video marketing, and a structured multi-touch communication program (e.g., 33- or 60-touch) for an unorganized database. The speaker references a shared Google Sheet called "multiplier projects" and a quarterly form (a modified Impact Filter) to plan projects by stating purpose, difference, expected result (examples include converting 5–10% of 50 monthly expires into 2–3 listings), best/worst outcomes, success criteria, and action items. He recommends selecting five "rocks" (high-impact projects), time-blocking them, and tracking returns with basic discipline (tracking leads and ROI).
I promise you this is so far from anything that you've ever been to. And now. Alright, so let's answer the question. What is a multiplier project? So like I said, the basis of this program and moving your business forward is actually implementing systems in your business. And it's not the oh, let me try this. Oh let me try this new part, new postcard, new online legion, oh, new Facebook ad. All that has to sort of happen in your business. And we put some rules and we put the, you know, when you go bowling, I just went bowling with my son and he got the gutter guards. We put some gutter guards around all of that for all of you. So at least you have some good discipline around spending money. Where you're tracking return, you're tracking leads, you know if something's working or not. I think it's in business blueprints and docs, I think it's in the main folder. So there's, there is a just a Google sheets that's called multiplier projects. So these are projects that once implemented will significantly move your business forward. So examples of multiplier projects. For those of you that like don't have a direct response expired mailer system. Those of you that don't have a raving fan club or even an element of the raving fan club like viral marketing, implementing video marketing in your business like a company like Vyral marketing is a multiplier project. Or you could take on the whole raving fan club. For those of you that have a crap crap organized database, putting a 60 touch or a 33 touch or some program to communicate with people that already know, like and trust you, that's a multiplier project. Using this form on a quarterly basis. This isn't basically a modified impact filter that I got from strategic Coach. The purpose of the project is what do you want to accomplish? So I'm going to build out a expired postcard mailer system that brings in leads systematically. What's the difference it'll make? You know, I don't have to guess where business is going to come from. What's the result going to look like? In my market there's average of 50 expires per month. If I can get, you know, 5 or 10% to call me off of a mailer or handwritten or thrashed or that in a combination with the Haas, Prada, the postcards, whatever the result could mean two to three new listings a month. What's the best outcome if you take action, the worst outcome, the success criteria three things that have to be true when the project is finished and three action items to get the project moving. And once you finish this for five projects. So I gave room here for five projects. You'll have enough to at least enlist the help of an, of an admin if you have a marketing person. And some might involve like, you know, opportunity time. Implementing opportunity time and an appointment calendar or something around yard sign calls. There's an awesome thread in Facebook around that that could be a multiplier project. So it's things that. These are rocks, right? So when you know Stephen Covey when he talks about rocks, a lot of people like the sand, the water, the pebbles, all that minutia is the stuff they work on all the time. And if you put those in your, in your cup first, you won't have room for the rocks. So the rocks are the things that you put in first and then you put the pebbles in, then you put the sand in, then you put the water in. So every day you set out to work on the biggest things that will have the biggest impact in your business and you just time block accordingly now. So that is a multiplier project, hopefully. That was a really good question, Chris.
