Testimonial/case-study video in which Stacie (Stacey) Peterson—COO of Real Estate B School and the organization’s first client—describes how Real Estate B School’s coaching, systems, and leadership (notably from Lars Hedenborg) transformed her real estate career and family life. Key points: she was the company’s first client seven years earlier; she struggled with overwork while raising two small children; a personal turning point occurred when her husband issued an ultimatum about priorities; she adopted coaching and systems to step out of production, strengthen leadership, create a tight-knit community, and improve quality of life; the program provides ready-to-deploy processes and peer support that accelerated her progress.
My name is Stacey Peterson, and I am the chief operating officer at Real Estate B School. I can't believe it's been seven years, but I was Real Estate B School's very first client. Real estate was my only avenue of income, so I had to make it work. And Real Estate B School really helped me realize that dream. Through systems and processes and honestly, leading by example. Over the years, it's been become more and more apparent how much time I need and maybe how much time I didn't have before. I really had a problem with working all the time, and I had two small kids. What she's writing is a note. You can see she's still writing. Yes. And I had a husband that I was making lots of promises to, like, I'll be home by 6, you know, I won't work on Saturday. One time we were going on a vacation. He surprised me. And of course I'm getting multiple offers on a property and I'm helping them buy another home. I'm standing there and my phone rings again. And I had promised once we got out of the car, I wouldn't be on the phone anymore. My husband left me standing there and said, if you can't make us a priority, then I don't need to be here. I was so mad because I thought, don't you know all the things that I'm doing for the family? Like, don't you understand how hard this is? I realized that I was the one that was ruining everything over a job. That experience really left a mark on me, and I knew I just couldn't do that anymore because I hadn't seen someone that had a what looked like a great family life, a great spiritual life, a great business, and a happy team. I just hadn't seen it before. And I was really looking for somebody that taught more than just how to sell more houses. I knew how to do that. I had seen Lars before, you know, on different stages or on videos, and he just had a heart for his team. He had a heart for his family. And I just hadn't seen that before. I had only seen, you know, people pushing transactions or, you know, pushing. Making a lot of money. But it was like they were missing the thing that really meant something to me and that was, you know, having a family at the end. So really leaning into coaching and what Lars was teaching me and then leading my team in that way. It just provided such a better life, quality of life time. That was amazing to me. I didn't think that was something that could happen. I thought it was either or. My very first goal when starting with real Estate B school was to get out of all the production. We make sure that the community is really tight knit. It's like minded people. It's people that want to see others genuinely succeed. We're not in there competing. Real Estate B school is different from other programs because there's really all these things to swipe and deploy into your business so I don't have to figure out how to put something in place. I know that coaching helps me with that because I can use their journey, I can use their systems and go a lot faster than I would on my own. I really feel blessed to be doing what I love, and that is investing in other people, helping other people, and growing companies. SA.
