Speaker discusses real-estate lead management and CRM use, arguing that disciplined processes—whether spreadsheets or CRMs—matter more than the specific software. Speaker recounts scaling a team with strict lead protocols and recommends committing to and building out a CRM (mentions Boomtown and Lofty) to create repeatable systems.
I have members that have no CRM and they're selling a ton of real estate off of a spreadsheet. So we have like a non tech version of doing this to me, because I scaled the team and having processes and like we had to have 10 agents doing the same thing. And we had like a whole lead management protocol. We had VAs going in and like literally looking at the leads and response times. And so we had it like highly, highly, highly dialed in. To me it was super important. That's why I didn't change for all those years. You know, I was with Boomtown forever. At some point you have to go tech, you know, a little bit. But I think agents oftentimes also think that tech is the solution and all the CRM suck and they've tried seven of them and. But any CRM you actually use, including a spreadsheet, is going to be effective. If you put me back into production, even knowing everything that I know, I would still choose lofty and I would get through it and I'd build out all my stuff. Because I know guys that are running like high level businesses that have painstakingly spent a year building out their lofty, you know, one step at a time, one little listing plan at a time, one touch system at a time. And now they're, now it just runs like clockwork.
