A conversation (likely from a YouTube video) arguing that in real estate, focusing on fewer, higher-quality, more profitable deals is better than maximizing transaction volume. Speakers describe shifting from chasing hundreds of transactions toward servicing a smaller number of profitable deals to preserve profitability, sustainability, and personal well-being.
So this is about the most counter cultural thing, that conversation that you'd ever have in the real estate industry. What, what does every team want to be able to say? They want to be able to say, I sold 500 homes. Right? And you guys are making the decision like, we have a team and great people that could service 200 deals. How can we put the most profitable 200 deals through this machine that we built? Which is, that's the magic of this whole thing. I just sort of put it together as we're talking, and I know that's, that's what you guys have done, but. And that's just counter to everything that's in the real estate industry, right?
Yeah, well, and the funny part is we kept talking to you and some other folks along the way who were doing lots and lots of trying, you know, 500 transactions a year. And we kept hearing the same things, which was like, man, I'm doing it and we're making a bunch of money, but man, I'm losing years off the end of my life. Like, it's, it's just. You're pulling your hair out half the time. And so we thought, okay, there's gotta be a better way to do this, because that the road that you just mentioned was the road that we were on three or four years ago. Like, let's see if we can do 300, 350, 400, 500 transactions. And we just felt like for us, we had a unique opportunity to make a shift and it's played itself out pretty well.
