A real estate agent on the speaker's team sold over 100 homes a year without a luxury car. Expensive cars create an illusion of success but don't drive sales. Professional appearance still matters, just not the car.
You do not need a fancy car to be a highly productive real estate agent. We had an agent on our team, sold over 100 homes per year, and he did not have the nicest car. He simply did not value the car he drove. And he knew that he was still producing at a high level. So he wasn't willing to play the game that most every agent plays, which is living way above their means. Agents that have a fifteen hundred dollar a month lease payment on a Mercedes just to give the illusion of success. Now, we did require agents on our team to dress for success. So that's not to say he would walk into the home all schlubby and not present himself. Well, we were well scripted, presented, but your car simply will not correlate to the number of homes you sell per month.
