Why You Need To Put Your Team First To Grow Your Business

Building a team works only if you genuinely want your people to succeed, not just extract money from them. An agent who tried to profit off agents failed, while those who help their team crush goals, set boundaries, and grow professionally build something that lasts.
An agent came to me in our market at one point and was like, you know, I'm thinking about building a team. And I'm like, oh, yeah? Why? Why do you want to build a team? She was like, well, you know, because I want to make money from agents, you know, that work for me. I'm like, that will fail in an epic way if that is your attitude. I said, you need to change your mindset. It's not about that. Like, and you have to believe it at your core that, like, and it has to be fulfilling for you that when you bring agents on, like, you want to see them crush their goals, you want to change their lives, you want to help them, you know, learn to balance work life in a much more effective way, teach them how to set boundaries. I mean, all of those things are. They're rewarding to me. I. That, you know, when I talked about before, you know, sort of reinventing myself, like, this is. This has been fulfilling for me, you know, whereas putting people in my car and going on appointments wasn't fulfilling to me anymore. So I just had to change. And that's really what was. What was a big deal. And surround yourself by people that buy into that concept and want to continue to grow an organization and have systems around. Hey, we're doing a quarterly team culture event. Make it fun. And the other thing is, too, when you do those things, it really shines a light on your superstars and the people that, you know, love being on the team and want to help you grow.
