Lavinia Errico uses a card deck ritual to journal weekly: identify lingering emotions, find their root causes, brainstorm pattern changes, draw a Zen card for mindfulness, then use a flame tree exercise to set intentions for relationships and growth. The whole thing takes one session a week.

I've been working with these cards for many, many years. I love this deck. I use that information, and that's what I start journaling for. This one, I would say, okay, what are the old feelings that are coming up? What is the root cause of those feelings? And then I go into solving, okay, what can I do? What patterns can I change that, actually shift that so I don't have all those old patterns? Then I go into the Zen card, and I connect with that, and then I write about it. Then I go into my flame tree, which is the start of something new. And then I write down whatever comes. You don't overthink it. Sometimes I just write what I want for new is I want me to feel like this. I want love to look like this with my girlfriends, with my family, with my lover, whatever it is. And I just start writing up on new things. I don't do this every day, but I would say I do this kind of ritual at least once a week.
