Lavinia Errico woke to a fire threatening her property. While firefighters worked outside, she stayed indoors due to smoke and called her friend Rafi to heat up a sweat temple so she could work out. A 75-minute session of movement, breathing, and prayer became her medicine during the crisis.

Hi, everyone. I woke up and everything is really settled. For the most part. At least we're out of danger. I did have my backyard, my hill this morning filled with the most amazing firefighters. Just making sure every little ember is out. It's really a miracle. And I needed to sweat. I had to go inside because outside is not an option. The quality of air is not great. I called my friend Rafi. He's right in front of the ocean. And I said, could you turn the heaters on the sweat temple? I need to work out. So I just got in about an hour and 15 minute workout. I feel so good. It's amazing. Moving your body, breathing affirming. I even like to pray when I'm working out. It just reminds me how movement, no matter what, is my medicine.
