In this brief commentary, the speaker frames the current generation of AI as "intelligent amplification," likening it to leverage. The core claim is that AI enhances what you already do well—making you faster, more efficient, and capable of greater output—while also raising the baseline performance for tasks where you are weaker. In essence, AI acts as a teammate that both accelerates strengths and lifts deficiencies.

Yeah, I think this is a sound clip that I find myself saying more and more and more these days, but the current iteration of AI is intelligent amplification. Mm-hmm. It's not so different from the idea of leverage by any means, I think, but it is making you better, faster, more efficient at what you already do well. And so if you're really good at something, it's gonna make you faster, better, and able to do more of it. If you suck at something, it's going to raise your floor.
