The day is finally upon us. It is the 10,000 calorie challenge, New York edition. So my name is Rob Lipsett. I'm a travel, fitness, and food YouTuber from Dublin, Ireland. Maybe you found this channel from searching up food videos, maybe you're from New York. Either way, hit that subscribe button right now. You will not be disappointed. So I've done videos in the past such as the 10,000 calorie challenge, 10,000 calories in 1 hour challenge, the 20,000 calorie challenge, the 30,000 calorie challenge. And so today I'm doing kind of like a different spin on it. I'm going to start going to certain places and eating the foods that are associated with that place. Today is gonna be New York City, so we're gonna go around to all the kind of like well-known cafes and bars and restaurants that you guys recommended me on Instagram. By the way, go follow me there @roblipsett. Either way, it is about midday now. I woke up today, I wasn't hungry enough, so I went for a cycle, we walked around the city, and now we're about to have breakfast. This breakfast is good at any hour of the day. Okay, so let's get into it. And remember, as a rule, like the video right now for the next video. One like equals one calorie eaten. Bring it on! So the first place that I've chosen is none other than the infamous 24/7 International House of Pancakes, IHOP, people. So you guys recommend me some pancake spots like Lulac Cafe, uh, Clinton Street Bakery was another one. But check those places out, and one, they didn't have the calories on them, okay? And two, the serving size didn't look that much. Like, they weren't big stacks like IHOP gives you. Now I'm definitely gonna have to estimate on calories a little bit today because not everywhere has the nutritional information, but we're gonna try be as accurate as possible. All that aside, I freaking love IHOP. I've already decided what I'm gonna eat. Let's go! So seeing as we are in New York, we're gonna have to get the New York cheesecake pancakes. That was 920 calories. And then this thing is just an absolute tank. Chicken and waffles, 1,350 calories easy. Should I get one more thing? That is the question. And then just to knock out another roughly 1,000 calories is banana and crepes with Nutella, 950 calories easy. So we are going for the chicken and waffles, the New York cheesecake pancakes, and the Belgian crepes with Nutella. Uh, I'm going to calculate in a minute, but it should be around 3,000 calories. The way I like to do these challenges is bigger meals and less frequently, so it's up the whole day. So like, when you think about it, it's so easy. Like, just, you know, 3 square meals around 3,000 calories, 3.3,000 to be exact, you know, and then you're done. Maybe throwing a snack in there. Too easy, right? So that's going to be the, uh, the tactics I'm going to go for today. And also, one thing I've learned over the years of doing calorie challenges is it's a lot easier to go sweet, savory, sweet, savory instead of like sweet, sweet, sweet, savory, savory, savory, because something to do with like your palate changes. And it's kind of like the other way they say you've always got room for dessert. Apparently there's like a bit of a side to find that, and apparently it's true. So anyways, we're going to order now, and yeah, we're going to go into a time lapse. We're going to heat it, it's going to be delicious. Perfect, thank you very much. Wow, okay, this is about to happen. Oh my God, time is 12:39. Let's go! Took down the pancakes in 3 minutes! So yeah, today's gonna be a good day, Rockboy! Yes, finishing time is 12:48. That was quite difficult because the chicken was a bit dry and the bread, like the fried part of the chicken, a little bit tough to swallow. But either way, we got that done. And now we are on to the crêpes. I think these will be pretty easy. These are pretty juicy. I don't think I would have gotten through that if it wasn't for the butter pecan syrup. So shout out to butter pecan syrup. Starting time, 12:49. So that is that meal done and dusted. 12:51. So what time did we start? I think it was like 39, 29. Either way, the camera will tell us. But yeah, that's pretty easy. I think that was over 3,000 calories, so it's over a third of the day really, if my maths is right. So yeah, pretty good going. Feeling confident. That was also delicious. The best though, it's a tie between the pancakes and the crêpes. The chicken and waffles was a little bit dry. It was just a little bit dry. I'm just being honest. I'm sorry IHOP, it was still delicious. It's just a little bit dry. All right, on with the day. That meal was pretty good. It was solid. I'm hitting a bit of a food coma now, so I think I'm gonna go in, get like a can of Monster Zero or something. One rule with the 10,000 calorie challenge is you're not allowed to drink your liquids. So like no like Coca-Cola with sugar in it. You can have Coke Zero, but that just makes it too easy. You can have like milkshakes stuff, or like syrup on your pancakes, they count. But you can't just go around drinking calories, too easy. So Monster Zero, perhaps a nap, and then on to the next place. Okay, all coffee. Wow. Oh, Red Dead Redemption, I love that. Fallout 3, one of the best games ever. So we're just like walking around New York, like going into all these cool shops, and we're in a vintage game store. Okay, look at that thing. I remember I had that. I had Nintendo 64, GameCube. Oh my God, PS1! I remember that thing. $50. No way! We are here at Black Tap. This was without a doubt the most requested place for me to go eat. I've seen like newspaper articles about this place. Apparently it's 1,600 calories per shake and at least 2,000 per burger, so that's exactly what I'm going to get. I'm thinking either the Sweet and salty or the Oreo shake? Probably the Oreo shake. Ooh, vanilla cookie shake. Yeah, I think that's a bit of me actually. I think that's a bit of me. That's a right bit of me. And then for Kraft Burgers, pizza burger sounds amazing. All-American sounds like a classic. Okay, right, let's go inside. Hey, how's it going? What's up? Okay, so this piece of art is called the Cake Shake. Oh my God, if you can't see it, there's literally a cake on top of the shake. Like, I cannot get over this. There's very few milkshakes on the planet where they actually bring you two plates to consume. Do with it. Like, do you drink this? You eat this? Like, do you mash it up and put the cake in it? I don't know, we're gonna do our best. So I ordered this, and I've also got the classic American burger coming as well, so hopefully that will be a bit less insane than this. But oh my God, this is like— this is threatening, this is scary. We're gonna do it. And a Diet Coke because I'm on a diet. So thick, I think I'm gonna need a spoon for that. Oh my God. Maybe I'll do this. That was actually a moment of genius. So I'm going to have that after the burger for dessert. Not this with the burger. Cheers! All right, okay, here we go. So we got the burger, sweet potato fries, we got the cake, the cake shake. Linda is bringing some broccoli to the table, so that's part healthiest thing you're gonna see all day. All right, so current time is 3:28. Let's go! That is legit one of the best burgers I've ever had. The bun is so soft, the meat, everything. Unbelievable. Little did I dream. Oh, little did I dream. All right, time is 3:36. Feeling it. That was big. That was, that was definitely very filling. And now we got the cake shake. I'm actually like, I wasn't expecting this piece of cake in the shake. I was, that was like a, it was a surprise. But we're going to get it done. So right, let's go. Third cake done. Um, it's now 3:42. We just got to finish off the actual shake, which isn't too bad. I think it's just like milk and ice cream, and then we're done. Plan on lying down, that's what I plan on doing. Well, I'm delirious. I think I'm going blind. 3:44. I need to go for a lie down, I'm delirious. One minute ride, cover on Muscle Fitness, big smile on my face, loving life. Rob Lipsett It's push day, and then the next minute I'm like dying on the streets of New York from a burger hangover, and I'm like— problems in fitness, everybody. Pregnant man on the side of the street. All right, let's go. So after the cake shake and burger, I took an epic nap and then went to Washington Square Park to do a meetup I had organized earlier in the week. Wherever I go, be it Melbourne, Sydney, LA, New York, London, Dublin, of course, I like to try to do an event or a small meetup with the subscribers I have in that country or city. I love doing them and always walk away buzzing and feeling so motivated. And I think that's the whole point of social media, to connect with other people and provide some value by offering your advice and experience. It's also good to show some respect and some gratitude to the people who are following your journey and giving you their time. I've spoken about this before, but I really think it is important for YouTubers, content creators, and influencers to really appreciate your audience, as these are the people who are giving life to your channel. There's a lot of influencers out there that kind of suck, who let the likes get to their head and take for granted what kind of lifestyle they're getting to live thanks to their online reach. So on top of that, people ask me how to build a solid online community And I think doing stuff like this and going the extra mile really makes a difference. Connecting with people online is cool, but connecting in person is even cooler. So anyways, NYC meetup was amazing. Big Irish community in New York, so there was loads of Irish there, which I love to see. And it was a nice way to break up the time between meals. Anyways, back to the food challenge. What's going on everyone? So it is 9 o'clock and we are gonna finish this off on a high, right? We're gonna have a large pizza from Lombardi's. Calories. That's where you guys recommended the most, so that should be about 2,000 calories. We're gonna do the special pizza, the one that was on the show Cake Boss, one size, 16-inch. Boom! Probably eating way more than 10,000 calories, realistically. I do it all for you guys. Anyways, we're about to order. Let's get it done, then let's go get the cookies. And that's the New York 10,000 calorie cheat day. Boom, baby! Boom, baby! Right, this thing is This is gonna be huge. Alright, I can't move. Let's do this noodle taste test. We're excited. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. We're gonna start the timer now. Starting time is 9:28. Let's do this. Let's get some dip as well. Slice a minute, I'd say. It's still on 38. Can you do it? Easily. 39. No! Boom! Boom! Done. 109. Done. Okay, so solid pizza, real quality Italian, like you could tell it's not just takeaway. But part of me is kind of like, you know what, I do love an Irish Domino's, even though like if you gave that pizza to an Italian person, they would be like, this is insulting. So all in all, that was amazing pizza, right? Absolutely absolutely lovely, really big. It was like 16 inches. So I looked up a typical large pizza with like prosciutto, ham, and extra cheese on everything— about 2,000 calories at least, right? So we've got about 1,000 to go. So we're going to this place called World's Best Cookie Dough, okay? I want to go to Le Van, but it is getting late. It's after 9 o'clock, so it's closed. So the choice was Insomnia Cookies or World's Best Cookie Dough, okay? This looks insane. It's like you break it apart You know those viral Instagram videos? That's what it looks like. So I'm feeling pretty good. Before I did that meetup, I was so full. Honestly, thought I was dying. You just take a nap? I'd take a nap and like I couldn't wake up. It was legit food coma, okay? I felt like I had a rock in my stomach. Still, yeah, still not looking great at all. We'll get it back. We'll pull back after this. We're doing a new cutting series, but that's right, let's knock out the end of these calories and finish the vlog. Nice. Here we go. Wow. You can choose any cookie dough, any toppings, and we'll make it from scratch just the way you dream about it. Oh God. You can make it happen. Okay, big goals to be made here, right? Okay, bring it on. Let's do it. Okay, that looks amazing as well. Okay, let's, let's do that. Yeah, everybody wins. Let me show the camera where you're going. Okay, we'll do S'mores, because we had s'mores in Joshua Tree and they were insane. Okay, let's do that one. S'mores? Awesome. Right, okay, so we got about 1,000 calories left to go and we just got told they're bringing out 2 pounds of cookie dough and there's 5,000 calories in each one of them. So we obviously don't need to eat all that, okay? Yeah, yeah, I think I've gone over 10,000 calories as it is. But yeah, either way, we're gonna do our best and finish off strong. Why? Because I'm here for your entertainment. That's why. All right, let's see what monstrosity they bring out. Oh my God, that is wild! That is wild! Okay, we're gonna have a photo shoot. Okay, right, nice. Oh my God, that is a mount! All right, let me do a little bit of, uh, right, so do I just Chopped down the middle. Yeah. Oh my God. Oh, no way. Oh my God, this is insane. Okay, Rob, I'm going in, I'm going in. Okay, all right, here we go, bro. That is one of the best things I've ever tasted in my entire life. That is next level. I'm transcending. That's unbelievable. Thanks. How many calories per each? How many in each? How many calories in each? This one has 2,500 calories. Yeah, that one has like 2,300. Okay, sweet. Right, I'm gonna go into this bad boy here. Right, let's get it. That one has cheesecake inside. Okay, I'm gonna have to try it though. Oh my God. Okay, right, we gotta go for that one as well. We're gonna go. Okay. Oh my God, bro, no way! Okay, I got to try this, I got to try this. All right, okay, let me, let me get some. Okay, all right, here we go, here we go. Oh my God, I don't know which one's the winner. That is unbelievable. If you want people that appreciate food, hang out with fitness people, okay? We diet year round for this. Bro, that's amazing. That's amazing. Okay, sweet. We're gonna set up a time-lapse. Okay, so it is 10:23, and so like Iman said, there's like over 2,000 in each one of these. We don't need that much, but we're still gonna just enjoy it because I'm hungry again and it tastes so good. It's all right. That's, uh, let's see what we can do, but I'm not gonna like kill myself here. I'm just gonna like enjoy it. I'm just like, yeah, just finish this day on a high note, not like forcing. We'll see. Alright, so these guys couldn't believe that I actually finished the entire cookie. We went— We went over 10,000 calories. That's how we do it on this channel. You're about 12 and a half. Probably about 12 minutes. So this is the last bite. Okay, what's the time? Last time, 10:35. Okay. I love you guys. I'm so glad that you like watching me eat so much. I thought I brought you some entertainment. I hope it was fun. And yeah, obviously if you watch my other videos, I'm all about a balanced diet, you know, flexible dieting, incorporating the foods you love, but obviously, you know, getting results, you know, be it fat loss, muscle gain. Being healthy, get on top of all your markers of health, but you shouldn't have an unhealthy relationship with your diet, you know. Stick to mainly nutrient-dense whole foods, but enjoy yourself from time to time. Yay! So again, thank you guys. So all my online coaching services are linked in the description box. Thank you so much for watching. I'll see you in the next one. Keep it real. Peace.
