Success requires either money or time. If you don't have capital, save enough to live frugally for several years so you can focus on building something without needing immediate income. The speaker saved for three years of expenses to make this possible.

So in order to become successful, I think you need time or money. So if you've got a big pool of cash from your dad or something, like he's, I don't know, he might pass away or he gives you a big loan, a small loan of a million dollars. Yes, I have that. If you've got that, you can make anything happen. If you don't have money, like most people, like myself, it was time. I needed to buy time and I'd saved up enough money to have in the bank to buy me, you know, if I lived terribly, to buy me like 3 years of time.
