In this 2015 vlog, Irish fitness creator Rob Lipsett welcomes American powerlifter and YouTuber Meg Squats to Dublin for a collaborative day. The video opens with Rob explaining how the collab was arranged through fellow creator Brian Turner. They head to Raw Gym where they compare training styles: Rob favors high‑bar squats for quad activation while Meg demonstrates low‑bar powerlifting technique. The two perform a mixed workout that includes squats, leg extensions, hamstring curls, calf raises, and a friendly rivalry over who can lift more on calves. After the gym session they eat at Toltec, an Irish Chipotle‑style restaurant—Rob orders a beef burrito bowl while Meg chooses a chicken salad. The vlog then shifts to a tourist segment at the Leprechaun Museum, where Rob humorously tries to convince Meg that leprechauns are real. Throughout the video Rob gives shout‑outs to other Irish creators like Alex and thanks Meg for joining, encouraging viewers to check out her channel. The vlog ends with a teaser for future collaborations and a global‑audience call‑to‑action.

What is up everyone? So, got a little surprise for you today. I'm doing a collab with an American YouTuber called Meg Squats. Basically, my friend, or our friend, Brian Turner from Humorous Fitness, he said, yo Rob, he texted me, he said, Meg's in Ireland, she's in Dublin, you know, I know how hard it is to collab with people because obviously, you know, the vast majority of fitness YouTubers live in America, so you guys gotta meet up. So I'm pumped for that, you know, I text Meg and we can't decide what to do, so we're gonna hit Raw Gym, of course, she is She's a powerlifter, so that's gonna suit her down to the ground. And she says she wants to do something touristy, so I think I'm gonna bring her to the Leprechaun Factory, or the Leprechaun Museum. And I'm gonna try to convince her that leprechauns are real. Funny story, actually, once back in Nice when I was on like French exchange, I was chatting to this like American bird in a bar. I was like 16 or something, and then she was like, "So where are you from?" And I was like, "Oh, I'm from Ireland." And she was like, 'Wow, your English is so good for someone from Ireland.' I was just like, 'Barmann, I'm gonna need another drink.' Also getting a little crazy with today's omelette ingredients. Went for a bit of sweet potato in there. Also gonna go for some of this stuff too. Go for 27-30 grams, and this stuff is just the greatest. So egg white sweet potato omelette with little bits of protein cheese all over it. It's gonna taste great. So what's up? I've picked up American YouTuber celebrity, um, Meg Squats.
Hi!
And, um, which is so awesome because, you know, I saw her a few months ago on Max Tuning's channel and now she's here. So this is crazy.
In Ireland!
Yeah, I know, I love it. So we're going to hit the gym now, probably get something to eat, and then have a nice touristy day. You know, I'm going to show her around Dublin, but stay tuned. 60 kg! Vadet! Nice! How you feeling today? Um, first gym session in a while.
Yeah. So I just finished USA Powerlifting Raw Nationals. I had a big competition, like huge, and haven't trained since then. So I feel like—
So Meg is now taking over her own squat rack because, you know, the height difference, you know, it's not the same. You're so tall. Yeah, I'm just so— I'm so— I've never felt taller in my entire life.
So I squat low bar. With powerlifting, that's a little bit more popular. People tend to be able to squat a little bit higher when they're low bar. So instead of the bar being here, it looks a little different in my setup. I need to see. It's better than clipping.
And we were just saying there, like, you know, one of the reasons why I squat high bar is you will get more quad activation. But if you go low bar, you'll get, you know, a bigger squat. So it's kind of like to do your goals. Like, obviously I'm more bodybuilding orientated and she's more powerlifting orientated, so it's kind of different how, you know, these factors come into play. That feeling when your waist is the same belt size as a girl, but that's good if you're like kind of into it.
That means I can be a male physique competitor.
Yeah, give us a pose there. Nice.
What do you do?
Uh, you do this, you do this thing, it's like Everyone, every like competitor does the thing. It's like, it's like the same thing. They like flap their wings.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, they're all—
it's the girliest thing in the world. They're all like—
I love it, you got to show your lats.
Yeah, exactly. Let me get this bad boy off.
Nice. Yep, nice.
All right, so now we're going to go on to some hypertrophy work, some toning. Scared. Yeah. Some professional training. Yeah, we got to get our tone on. But it's just gonna be like, you know, your typical leg extensions, hamstring curls, calf raises, whatever. Look at this!
Yeah!
Alex is actually another YouTuber from Ireland, and you know, he puts a lot of work— hi guys! He puts a lot of work into his channel, and you know, how many videos have you made? Like, well over 100? 270-something. There you go. So like, he really does deserve some recognition. Shout out to Alex.
How many did you do?
Feels it in the glutes. I actually lost count there. She is crazy strong. So finishing off doing a bit of calf raises, and so one lift that I'm better at than Meg. So yeah, she may be able to— she may be able to out-squat, out-deadlift me, but no, I out-calf raise her. You know, what's your one rep max on calves, bro? That's all I'm interested in.
His like 12 rep max is my one rep max. Full stack life.
All right, so we got talking about Chipotle and we're just like, hey, look, it's such a safe bet, why don't we go to the Irish Chipotle, which is Toltec. You know, sometimes I'm bougie, man, but this is right beside Raw. But so what'd you go for here?
I got a salad because I'm watching my weight. I'm toning. Yeah, so I got salad with chicken, a little bit of cheese, and some pico and corn and guacamole for the extra fats.
Nice. And then I just went for the burrito bowl, extra beef of course. So we're gonna enjoy this, and thank God it's actually a nice day. It's like pretty much a heat wave in Ireland. So, uh, we're gonna enjoy this and then, uh, walk around the city, maybe go, uh, to the Leprechaun Museum. That chair is almost big enough for me, just not, not quite. All right, so that's the Leprechaun Museum done. So fun. Yeah, it actually was, even for like an Irish person. It was kind of amusing. Um, but yeah, no, we had a good time. Typical touristy day, and now we're just wrapping things up now. Alright, so we had an awesome day. I had a great time playing tour guide, and but now we got to part ways. So I encourage everyone check out Meg's channel.
Come check out my channel and be my strong, strong friend. And I hope that I have so many new Irish subscribers now because from our analytics it seems like, yeah, mostly in the US not too much from Ireland.
Exactly, so we're going global now, you know, global. We international now. But this is not the last you're gonna see of us. Hint hint, stay tuned. But anyways, I'll catch you later.
